GET $30 bonus for signing up a new ING Savings Maximiser account - new ING Direct customers only

190

For those who have missed the last "refer a friend" promotion, ING is giving away $30 bonus for opening a new ING savings maximiser account for new customers.

I saw this ad on tv. It's quite simple as all you have to do is go to the link provided and register in your details. After registering, follow the link to open a Savings Maximiser account and make your first deposit by 21 May 2011. The $30 bonus payment will be paid within the two weeks following your first deposit being made and is limited to one bonus payment per account (including joint accounts).

Hope this helps to someone.

Terms and Conditions:
The variable welcome rate is current as at 25 March 2011 and is subject to change. At the end of the 4 month period, the rate that applies to your account balance will be the Savings Maximiser standard variable rate applicable at the time. The cash bonus will be credited to your account within the first two weeks following your first deposit being made. A tax liability may exist with the payment of the cash bonus. This combined offer is applicable on the first Savings Maximiser that you open (including joint accounts) and is for a limited time only. Any advice on this website does not take into account your objectives, financial situation or needs and you should consider whether it is appropriate for you. Before making any decision in relation to a Savings Maximiser, you should read the Terms and Conditions booklet, available at ingdirect.com.au or by calling 133 464. Savings Maximiser is issued by ING DIRECT, a division of ING Bank (Australia) Limited ABN 24 000 893 292. ING DIRECT's colour orange is a trade mark of ING DIRECT and the ING Group of companies.

  • Is there a minimum deposit to make? Also how do you make a deposit? It's not like they have any branches so perhaps you just transfer cash into it from another bank.

    • There is no minimum deposit. It could be as little as $1.

    Thanks, mate.
    Free money = good :)

  • Did anyone take up the Virgin Money $50 bonus offer? Apparently the offer got extended from end of March to end of April. I was going to close my account in April but now I don't know if I fall under the older T&C or the new T&C? My $1k ASP has gone through in March but some say that the balance needs to be in the account at end of offer period, being 31st March. Now that the offer has been extended, I'm not sure if I should maintain this balance (and possibly another $1k ASP in April) until end of April?

  • Am I the only one glad that Charles the Orangutan isn't in their recent ads? He was a little creepy-looking IMO. xD

  • Haven't gotten my previous $40 from the ING orange Direct
I'll be wary..maybe it takes a bit longer to get it credited?

    • me neither! it's been two weeks already since my first purchase..

it said will be paid within the first two weeks of month following your first purchase anyways, will wait n see

    • mine is from last month!

    • I received my $40 from that offer pretty swiftly…Have you made a purchase yet?

  • can i close my saving and open the acc back? :D

  • The whole 'new ING Direct customers only' clause is the reason why I closed my account in the first place.
Their rates are no longer competitive and they are only interested in pulling in new customers while neglecting existing ones.

  • Just got my $30 but had $13 taken because I did not give them my tax number. Going to close the account asap.

  • I don't know why I can't post a comment in the 'refer a friend for $40', so post here, hope someone see it.

Is anyone actually got $40 from ING because refer-a-friend?
It's already 1 May. But my hubby's account hasn't been credit $40, but I already got $40 almost a month ago because he referred me to opened a Saving Maximizing account.

  • I got nothing from ING, cause I have ING EveryDay?
