Citizen Satellite Wave Watches

In as little as 3 seconds, watches with satellite wave technology receive a GPS signal that adjusts to new time zones with amazing speed and ease. With coverage across 40 of the existing UTC standard time zones, watches with satellite wave technology ensure the most accurate time in any conventional watch. SATELLITE WAVE GPS watches feature Satellite Wave function. Satellite Wave captures position data and a time signal from GPS satellites orbiting in space to automatically adjust time and date. Your GPS watch will display the precise time wherever you are on Earth, as long as there is open sky above you. The CC3060-10E receives both location and time signals, and is therefore able to ascertain where you are and the correct time at your location.

All watches contain Eco-Drive technology. Never change a battery. Imagine… A timepiece that never needs a battery change and will run forever. Citizen Eco-Drive technology converts natural and artificial light sources into energy. It recharges continuously in any kind of light to run forever.

Did you get the StarBuy email for the "48 Hour DoorBuster Sale Citizen Watches"?
Starbuy are finally selling the NJ0090 line of watches: and for $249 !! My wife got me one from elsewhere over a month ago and the cheapest we could find it at an international watch seller was on ebay for $350 after a 15% site-wide discount.
NJ0090: Titanium watch with sapphire glass, see through caseback with gold-gilted 21 jewel automatic movement (citizen 8213). Date at 3, small seconds positioned at 4:30. A lovely dress watch.
For $250, I think it is a great price. https://www.starbuy.com.au/citizen-mens-automatic-leather-st…
Also , the NJ0090-13P with creame colored face with blue-hands version is similarly nice and also at $249. https://www.starbuy.com.au/citizen-mens-automatic-leather-st…

I like to think I have something to do with StarBuy now stocking the NJ0090 watches, since I emailed them back in August asking if they can get them in for me to buy so I could avoid needing to look overseas for it.
Too late for me, personally, but a nice watch all the same.

  • any 5% coupon?

I'm looking at the watchface and am kinda laughing at it…

It's like they're trying to cram as much feature as they possibly can by cutting off numbers, squeezing in as much timezones to the bigger bezel and requiring 3 buttons to adjust them…

Whereas a smartwatch is so clean and just swipe up/down for those said features.

    • +1

A smart watch also has the amazing feature of needing constant recharges. 😉

Please come back next time when your smart watch is able to harness the power of light to power up. Ta.

      • Hey I posted in this thread knowing it'd piss off the people that cared :p

        • For what reason?

          • @PJC: No reason… just think of those moments where you walk past a shop and see something interesting displayed in the front winduw and comment about it.

Some would get defensive about it while others "oh I see" and that's it.

        • +3

I get what you’re trying to do but the argument you used is weak. So instead you just look kind of a dumb child really.

          • @ozeebee: The fact that you even thought of it as an excuse or argument… Yeah I'm the dumb child.

He asked why and I told him why.

            Ok I better peace out

    • +4

I'm guessing you don't like this watch and would prefer a smart watch.
      Thanks for letting us know.

It's not even about the hating man, I just find it hilarious is all, you can see the effort they put into jamming as much things as they possibly can.

        • … like a phone, which also passes as a camera, calendar, calculator etc? =P

        • There's watches with much more busier dials. Here's some examples:

          There's plenty more.
There are a lot of people (me included) who love watches with busy dials. Nothing wrong with these watches. They command a premium and for good measure too.

          • @MathNerd: They both look good and fine, it's the other one where they chop the numbers off and not being aligned is what made it funny.

          • @MathNerd: Omg that seiko is amazing!! Pity at a diff price point to this citizen!

  • Made in japan?

    • +2

      Japanese movement, cased in China.
      Thanks
