Just to add from the terms:

create an Amazon wish list with Prime eligible products (as indicated with the symbol alongside the
product) from Amazon Australia only. Choose products that up to the amount of $1,000; then

    • Are you allowed to change your wishlist and resubmit it? I added a $999 laptop to my wishlist but I just realised it ships from the US.

      • Hope so, I had to do the same after seeing Amazon AU only. It says one entry per e-mail though but maybe they'll understand…? 🤔

        • I am hoping so too, because i added item looked like they were in stock with amazon AU and prime eligible but after sending the wishlist i found they were not in stock with amazon au anymore

          • +1

@M911: though it looks likes you can enter more than once if you have more than one amazon account with a different email address

Entries are limited to one entry per email address
            .
Entrants can times as they like, however they can only win
one (1) prize, except for SA residents who are entitled to win more than one (1) prize.

anyone know why a person in SA could win a prize more than once when the other states cannot

            • @M911: Thanks for the info, so I'd just make a second account and submit a wish list with all Amazon AU items just in case. I wonder if we're meant to submit a wish list for each draw or just the one for all of them?

anyone know why a person in SA could win a prize more than once when the other states cannot?

Probably because it's SA and they need what they can get? 🤔

Just kidding, probably something to do with the legislature regarding giveaways maybe there isn't an opposed limit for some reason.

              • +1

@Band28: We are a bit lacking here…in more ways than one! Haha.

    • Most items I want are from the US. I wonder whether you can just add anything to your wishlist and if you're lucky enough to win, you can just choose others items to replace them. I want to get into this draw quickly so I don't have much time to build it up.

  • +2

The way I am reading the terms is that you can enter each day (using the same email address/account) however if you win a prize then you can not win and 2nd time etc .. and when it says "Entries are limited to one entry per email address" i take it (alongside the rest of the terms) that an entry is on a per draw basis which makes sense with them stating "Entrants can times as they like, however they can only win one (1) prize,"

so I am just submitting the same list daily in hope

  • +28

WOOT! got an email this morning telling me I am 1 of the winners and am expecting contact from the amazon team to fulfil the order.

My order total was around $904, the most expensive item was a watch selling for around $650 which (should) automatically update time zones (world time), the next most expensive was a pair of trekking shoes selling for around $150, then the amazon fire tv stick and some RFID blocking items and travel cubes (all set for my holiday next year with all these items).

    • +1

      Congrats subboy!

    • +2

      Incredible, congrats!

    • +2

Oh wow, congratulations! I'm so jealoua haha. Did you add ay international items to your order? I'm still confused about that part. I'm adding some international items but with Prime shipping. I just hope it'll be eligible.

      • That confused me also, in fact i removed a few items that were prime free shipping and kept only the items with the prime tick just in case prior to submitting my list.

        • Same here.

Was originally going to add a few Amazon US items (with prime) but ended up playing it safe. Removed all of them, and only added Amazon AU + prime items.

          • @Gnilgorf: Well, I've added all US items with Prime shipping and just sent it off. From the sounds of the T&C's, it seems like you can order anything as long as it comes from the .au site and is eligible for Prime. Don't quote me but that's my take on it.

YEAAAAAAAAAH… Looks like we got two of the first 5 winners in Ozbargain :D

    https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/264607375560802304/51…

    Total pool: $969.20

Chucked in a PS4 Pro, a few board games, a pile of Studio Ghibli films and a few other items as gifts which I won't list out cause I know certain folk read up on Ozbargain :D

Okay apparently my pool was higher but some items dropped price overnight xD

    • +1

Congrats Gnilgorf. Try not to get any Mars on the PS4 ;)

      • +1

Haha will try not too. Besides, giving away most of the chocolates.

    • +1

      Good one, congrats!

  • +2

Congrats guys that already won, just put my 1st list in today so fingers crossed.

If we add to the wishlist through amazon.com.au and it is fulfilled by Amazon US is that fine?

The best thing I can find in the T&C says this.

All items within the wish list must be made up of Prime eligible products (as indicated with the symbol
alongside the product on Amazon Australia website www.amazon.com.au) otherwise the entry will be
    disqualified.

Doesn't specifically say has to be fulfilled by Amazon US.

    • That's exactly what I posted above. I hope it's correct.

  • +18

I won too. :-) First time I've ever won anything. Thanks OP!

    • +2

      Congratulations! 👏😁

      • Thanks

    • +3

Gratz! Wooo 3 of 5 ozbargainers!

      • +1

        Thanks very much

    • +1

What a fantastic start! I can only guarantee it'll get more addictive from here on in.

  • +12

Got an email telling me I've won. Email from @seven.com.au via sevenwestmedia.onmicrosoft.com
I never win anything, is this real?
    Can any winners confirm?

    • +1

      Thats the same as mine.

Email from that @ and signed by the following one.

    • +1

Congrats. Yep, the same. Two PDF file attachments. One letter, one T's & C's.

  • +2

Are OzBargainers the only ones entering or something? How there be so many winners with so few prizes on offer?

    • +4

      it's our time!

      • +1

because they select 5 winners a day over 5 days I think

        • +4

It's likely we ozbargainer's were just a little more prepared to enter the first draw and subsequently took up 4 day 1 winner slots (I assumed @jaydee4 was a day 1 too). Thanks to the efforts of gnv9 as always, the shorter window for the first draw (9 hours compared to 24hours) and the odd end time (4:30 pm) i.e. before most folk finish work and check their feeds.

But now that words out…and everyone and their mums are entering. Ozbargain winners are going to get diluted…

But yes. Time for the early bird ozbargainers to get the worm =]

What a crazy turn out for day 1…

          • @Gnilgorf: If only I had gotten in my first entry…Keeping up with competitions has been extra hard lately.

            • +1

@SephirothFF: Yep, this time of year is always the busiest with the amount of comps posted.

  • so when we send the email we just send the link to our prime wish list yea?

    • I sent mine directly through amazon.

"Send list to others" which can be found in the top right of the wish list -> Copy pasted [email protected] directly into the pop up box.

      • +1

Tip: if you are viewing on your mobile you need to select "Desktop Site" to be given the option "send list to others".
I actually found it super hard to think of $1000 worth of things I wanted. Maybe because I'm on a budget and I've convinced myself I don't need anything, and this comp forced me to think differently.

  • cool. That’s what I did so was just making sure I did it right

  • +1

Do we have to send one in for each day?

    • This I want to know too. It seems like it since it has a draw start and end date for each draw?

      • +2

I'm sending it each day. Hopefully it'll be ok.

  • +2

damn it! missed out on entering the first two draws :(

    • +2

I missed the first one and most likely didn't win the second one (I probably would've received an email by now if I had won). You still have time.

  • Hi, how do you know if the item is prime or not?
All items I've added were filtered by Amazon Prime, but in the wish list only some items have a tick next to them.
Does that mean the ones without the Amazon Prime tick are not allowed?

    • +1

Prime with the tick ~ its mentioned in the terms and conditions

      • ah okay thanks.

        • +1

          I had the same problem.

When you filter by Prime the item shows with the Prime tick but when you look in your list some have the tick showing some don't.
If you click on the item's without the tick they do at least show 'Yes, I want FREE Delivery on this order with Amazon Prime' in the top right corner, so that should indicate they are Prime items. For my sake I hope so!
I don't know why they don't show the tick though.

          • @gilmour: This has really annoyed me. When the items show up in the search engine, they'll say whether they're eligible for Prime but some don't mention it when you click on them. It doesn't show up on items when you're viewing your cart or wishlist. I just hope I haven't mixed in any non-Prime items. It seems unfair to disqualify your entire entry if you add non-Prime item. They shouls just disqualify that one item.

Anyway, another day, another non-winning email. This is a fantastic competition because you actually get to choose what you want to win.

  • +1

Entry period for Friday 7th Dec draw doesn't end till Monday.

Has anyone been contacted by the Amazon fulfillment team? I'm still waiting.

    • I guess that means I shouldn't resubmit my list until after that draw ends. Thanks for posting that as I didn't notice (I should've read it more carefully).

      • +1

Next 2 Draw Time: 5pm* Monday 10th December & 5pm* Tuesday 11th December (according to page 2 of Terms and Conditions pdf).
Entry Period are in the main post above.

        *Australian Eastern Daylight Time

        • And wow it just occurred to be Draw 4 has a 3 day window for people to apply…geeez

          • +1

@Gnilgorf: Yeah, the odd are decreasing. I wish this competition would go longer.

    • I have not heard from them yet, maybe they will contact everyone after the last draw

      • Me neither. Glad I'm not the only one. The letter seemed to imply otherwise.

        • Nothing here yet.

Well, time to wait I guess.

          • @Gnilgorf: Still no contact from Amazon :(

            • @jaydee4: Me neither. Had hoped I'd hear something now that the draws are over.

              • @shaneb: Still all quiet over here~ Pondering about contacting them via the details in the letter.

                • @Gnilgorf: Go for it. Was thinking the same. I was expecting "in touch shortly" to mean something quicker.

                  • @shaneb: Her phone goes to voicemail every day (might be on holiday) have sent email

                    • @subboy: Maybe calls get filtered through voicemail. I might try leaving a message tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

  • Gotta love Amazon, a Prime item I had in my list from the other day has now been substituted with a more expensive non-Prime listing. Even though the original item is still available and shows when I filter by Prime it keeps adding the other item.
I hope no one who gets drawn gets disqualified because it happens to them.

    • Interesting. Checked my list as well just in case.

2 of my items are now no longer marked as Prime.

And, my total pool now goes over the $1k mark.

This will be interesting given that I am one of the 'winners'. Wonder how it will all get sorted out. Guess thats why they have the unavailable and substitution clause in their T&C's.

      • Yeah I also noticed that, price increased the other day on mine and had to delete something from my list.
I actually ended up adding a comment to my items stating what was happening

        • My winning list has gone just above $1k also. All items are still Prime though.

    • This happened to me. I searched for Prime eligible DVD's by actor name and added two titles. When I look yesterday, they weren't Prime eligible and were more expensive. I then added the cheaper, Prime-eligible versions. They didn't both show up on the same listing, even though they were the same movie and both wouldn't show up when searching by actor name, only one. It's unfair to disqualify the entire order if one or two items are non-Prime eligible. Those items should be substituted or removed, especially when it's not actually your fault.

      • Actually had an item on my list drop price by $4 and Amazon even nicely mention the item has dropped price since adding to my list.
Unfortunately two of my other original items have increased big time in price but no mention of that at all putting me about $70 over.

        • I think they only mention a price increase if it's in your cart, not your wishlist. Not sure why.

  • the way I read the rearms you can enter once every draw with the same email is that the case or is it just one per person

    • I take it once every draw with the same email. That's what I'm doing.

  • no more winners i guess? :(

  • Ok so, been attempting to contact them but to no avail.

Hopefully get a call back soon~

As a side note, my list has grown to about 60 over with 2 items non-prime.

(And now one item dropped by 100…geez amazon)

    • Yeah, nothing here either. I've tried ringing and e-mailing too.

  • Contacted Amazon.au via Live Chat, told me to wait for email from their team as the person I was speaking to had no info on this event. His/her first response was "This looks like a scam" till I linked the competition url.

edit: forgot to click the reply button.

  • Hahaha their first response. Not surprised given a special rep would be in charge of it all. Well, let us know how the Amazon side of it pans out~

    Edit: Eh…thought I hit reply 0.o

    • +2

OK winners, I was finally able to speak to XXXXXX (person who sent the winning email) took a bit of running around today, but got there eventually.. they has advised me that they are talking with A*** at amazon and I can expect a call shortly (a word i recall seeing in the email haha) .. so hopefully this contact will have given the push/reminder needed for the prize to be fulfilled sooner than later.

I will update you if and when I get contacted by amazon

      • Oh very nice! You managed to reach XXXXXX?!! All I ever got was voicemail >.>

Ended up sending an email to said person about 20 minutes ago, just after I got back from my lunch break.
Also queried about the fluctuating prices / prime status of items, so hopefully will get that clarified.

Meanwhile, guess we'll wait for you or A***~

        Cheers for the update.

        'Shortly'

      • Nice work. :-)

        • Fingers crossed we hear back from them today. Technically it's the last day that their expedited 2 day prime delivery will be guaranteed to make it before Christmas…which one would think was their intention for this comp.

Still wondering what will happen to all the items that changed to non-prime items~

          • @Gnilgorf: Unfortunately I don't share your optimism. :-( Not sure what is going on. Mine are thankfully all still prime items, but presently over by around $11.

            • @shaneb: Still nothing here. 24th of Dec is just around the corner…

              • @jaydee4: So, I guess the Christmas aspect of this prize is long gone. Not sure what the go is. On the upside, if they ever do actually deliver on the prizes, mine is back under $1k.

      • @subboy I guess you haven't heard anything back? Shortly™

        • Shortly™ lol .. no, I have not heard back this end .. Luckily I do not need the items straight away, so am staying patient for contact in the new year, if it gets near the end of January and nothing heard then I will try contact XXXX again in anticipation that they will contact amazon again, who i assume will contact us Shortly™ after

  • Back to work for the new year folks~ And…still nothing.

Hoping to hear from them shortly™

    • I emailed her again last week to inform nothing heard yet… i never got a reply from the 2 emails I sent before, or from voicemail messages left, only got a call back when I went through the switch board .. ill try calling again shortly(not the ™ version)

edit: called and was directed to her voicemail, left another message.. if nothing heard within a week i will try the way i got in contact with her before

      • Thanks for the update guys. I left her a voicemail yesterday also without a reply. Has anyone tried calling the mobile number on the letter?

        • i have not .. but will try now to see if that helps

edit: rang out to voicemail (no message left)

will go back to my original plan to wait till closer to the end of the month and try getting in contact via the method I did before

          • @subboy: I attempted the mobile last year to no success~

Might leave it to you guys for the moment, lest we bombard the person with way too many calls.

            • +1

@Gnilgorf: I was able to get in contact with her today, basically she said she has spoken to XXXX at amazon and that she will get in touch with us shortly ™ (i (sarcastically) feel at ease) however then said that we should get a call soon (sounds like an upgrade, or maybe a new ™ word). then later said to keep in touch if i hear nothing (ok downgraded again) .. sounds like seven have done their part and also chased it up for us, problem seems to lie with XXXX from amazon (although email and voicemail replies not happening from seven is a bit rude imo) . I am hoping amazon are not waiting for products to be sold out before issuing the prize (yes sometimes I think the worse case) and would even think it would be a nice gesture to honour 1k total (so our list plus a remaining balance to work with) as a sorry for the (over a month) delay.
If another month passes I will not be a happy camper and will try to obtain XXXX from amazon's number/email to call/write her direct.

              • @subboy: Thanks very much for the update. I'll let you all know if I hear anything.

                • @shaneb: Cheers for the updates folks~

Will be interesting to see how they resolve the discrepancies with prime items, cost differences etc.

My big ticket item has ballooned in price and is no longer prime xD

                  • @Gnilgorf: just noticed one of the items I purchased is out of stock, not the big ticket item but still it was in stock last week (and was prime, which is it not showing now either) and this delay has potentially made me miss out on that item (understanding an alternative can be given).. Also just saw another item is no longer prime.
I would rather just get a 1k voucher to spend on prime products that are available at the time of shopping now

  • This is interesting.. I just went to my wish list and clicked on 1 of the items (eventually all) to see this message "Somebody may have bought this for you recently." then when i clicked on "tell me if it was purchased it stated "Yes, this item was purchased for you." the previous times I went to the site and clicked on one of the items (name) it took me to the item listing, so this might be that amazon are finally moving forward with the prize

on a side note: all are showing in stock, however my big ticket item is no longer showing as prime (which it was last week) my assumption is that only 1 was stocked at the amazon warehouse for prime listing and that has been reserved for me .. either way i guess we continue the waiting game but this is a positive sign
