    • Cool. That's good to hear. None of mine are showing that yet. All add up to under $1k again and all Prime. Fingers crossed. My main issue at the moment with Amazon is deliveries with Fastway. They seem to have real issues for me at the moment.

      • Ooo interesting. None of my items show those messages, but at least its good to see some movement~!

Meanwhile, list ballooned to approx. $1.1k so that will be interesting. Funny to see the PS4 pro inflate by $100 (and no longer prime eligible) or so since the holiday season finished.

        • Still nothing on my end. I'm pretty annoyed right now, some items on my list have gone out of stock or the prices has went way up. I don't know how it's going to turn out with no contacts from Amazon or Sunrise.

          • @jaydee4: thing is, even though it is saying someone has purchased it for me, there is no information or notification of who did such a thing, no delivery info, no contact from amazon.
So until goods are in hand it is not a competition done deal this end.

As for prices and prime eligibility, these things change all the time, I would not worry about it.. there were in comp regulations when you entered them, so I would suggest they will honour it no matter what (even if its over 1k now, as many entrants alike myself were closer to 900 or less with their list, so it would even out.

again not counting my chickens this end, until i see the goods (or at least get some sort of notification.

another update, got a message saying shipping information was received from auspost yesterday from amazon, today (via express) i received the package which included all but 1 item on my list.
No note found inside, no email no call .. I am assuming a good samaritan did not purchase my list for me and it was as a result of the competition.

the whole process confuses me as again no contact regarding the comp from amazon, nothing from them or anyone else to say it will be sent (except from auspost which updates me with any mail that corresponds with my details).

If (as i sxpect) it is amazon via the comp. maybe they are working in order of the winners to get the goods dispatched (who knows) .. so hang in there

    • Congratulations!

      1 down, 3 ozbargainers to go~

Hopefully they get around to us soon given that we're all day 1 winners. Wonder how all the other days winners are fairing.

Side note, no change on my list.

    • Congrats. No change here. If they are doing it in an order, it's certainly not in order of winning as four of us were the winners from the first day of five winners. Go figure. Might attempt another phone call next week if I don't hear anything by Monday.

      • @subboy was the missing item over the 1k limit or was it out of stock? Grats on getting your things. I just hope they don't make us call individually just to make them deliver. Nothing over here still.

        • the item was around $20 and in stock (and one of the ones displaying someone has purchased for me) as for the entire amount it was around $910 so not close to the 1k limit. 2 weeks back 1 item was showing out of stock but is back in stock now (and one of the items i received) during the waiting period I have seen items go from prime to not prime and back again (guess it depends on sellers that contribute to prime listings having stock showing)

Rang the Sunrise person on the mobile number, said would chase it up for me. Amazon didn't deliver Christmas, let's see if they can do it for January. :)

    • Fingers crossed for you. I tried ringing her landline this afternoon without any luck, but will be more persistent tomorrow.

      • I rang the landline several times today without any luck. Each time went to voicemail, except for once when it appeared to be picked up and hung up straight away. Rang the mobile which rang out to voicemail. Have left a voicemail on there, but giving up at this point. Pathetic really.

  • +9

wow, never received a winning notification, but a Laptop just got delivered and I can only assume it's from this comp O_O

    Thanks so much Gnv! <3

    • +1

      Congratulations

    • +1

      Wow Congrats!

Any chance of checking your wishlist on amazon and seeing if you got the same message "Somebody may have bought this for you recently." that subboy got?

      So 5 OzbargainerS?!

      • +1

        Yeah, I did :)

        • +1

Oh nice, thanks for the confirmation.

          And now 6 ozbargainers?! Yay!

          3 confirmed, 3 of us still waiting…intriguing~

  • +13

Omg!!! I just signed for a massive surprise box from Amazon… To find my Christmas wishlist in there !!!
Kids toys, gaming gear, so much fun. Couldn't be happier and the best surprise in the world !!
Thanks so much for posting !
I had no email, no call, no auspost notification, just pure joy

    • Wowsers! Congratulations!

    • Congratulations :)

    • Congrats on winning

I was completely surprised i was trying what this was, as i had receieved all the item i bought from amazon last year, but as soon as i opened i remember why i got it.

I wish i had received something to say that i won the competion as proof.

I didn't have to sign for mine at all?

  • +4

That's awesome, random prize arrivals are the best.

Congrats to the latest winners :D

  • +5

I Just received mine, such an awesome surprise totally forgot about it 2 Giant boxes- it looks like everything on my wishlist was bought for me, and 1 item left to arrive

  • great to see it ent forward for you all .. the lack of communication is still concerning, especially when I assume that part of this was Amazon wanting to get some positive attention from it. probably the most frustrating comp I have ever won, but at least (most) prizes have new happy homes our end.. the majority of my wishlist was for a holiday I am having in May.. i look forward to enjoying my prizes in action then

    • +1

I'm not 100% convinced that we'll receive anything to be honest. I think that there may have been a stuff-up somewhere. It seems very odd that we now have 8?? out of 25 prize winners being Ozbargain members and some of those weren't advised that they had won. The prizes that have shipped seem like they were all sent around the same time. I could be wrong though.

I did however notice that in my wishlist settings that I had no default shipping location. I've set this now. There was also a checkbox enabled which blocks you from seeing whether people have purchased items from your list. I've unchecked this. I know that my main item hasn't been bought though, as there is only one item in stock and has been that way for the last month.

      • Got to stay positive! Though going to chase up the contact from the email now~ Oh their poor voicemail.

On a side note, I had to switch my mailing address before the new year as I wasn't sure when it would be delivered and most of the time I prefer items being delivered to the office (which I wouldn't be at during the Christmas holidays). Now that's a moot point.

Oh never noticed the "Don't spoil surprise" option as I always had the "Keep items on" option checked.

        • Added delivery address to my wish list just now. I thought they would just use my Amazon account address :/
btw the mobile number is in the email signature.

        • I've sent an e-mail to the sunrise@seven e-mail address on their webpage with a copy of the e-mail I received and outlined the contact attempts I'd made. Will let you know if I hear anything back.

          • @shaneb: They have not responded to any of my queries and i email them on the day i received the delivery and called them but the person i needed to speak to was unavailable.

is that email you received the one saying you won, if so what does it actaully say because i never received it

            • @M911: Yeah, I received an e-mail from a Sponsorship & Promotions Assistant with two pdf attachments. One a winner confirmation letter (a duplicate of what's in the e-mail below) and that if there are any issues to not hesitate to contact them. The other, a copy of the T's & C's. The actual e-mail said this:

              Hi there,

              CONGRATULATIONS!

You are one of our lucky winners in the Sunrise ‘Amazon Christmas Wish List’ promotion.

Please read the attached winner confirmation carefully, in which list details outlining the next steps in prize fulfilment.

If you have any questions in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to email me, or call 02 XXXX XXXX.

              Once again, congratulations.

              • @shaneb: I just received an e-mail from Seven stating that they've been reviewing entries and at the time of the draw my entry was either over $1k or included none Prime items. What a load of crap. Neither was the case.

  • This f bs. I just got the same email. THERE IS NO WAY THAT MY TOTAL WAS OVER 1000. After waiting for two months, this is totally garbage.

    • Aye just got the same email.

This is exactly why I (and i'm sure you guys too) have been trying to call them the past 2 months. In case the fluctuations happened.

      Guh

  • Oh I'm not done with this. Somebody didn't want to do their job for nearly 2 months and now I'm the a-hole? I don't think so. I had a feeling this was coming, I saved the Amazon pages of my old list. How can you disqualify me for price changes that I can't control? And I updated my list to go under 1k (as it is currently) long before this bs email.

*Total price of the list was under 1k during the time of submission.

    • Well I didn't have the foresight to print the list at the time of submission.

But I do have an attempted email chain (without any reply obviously) with the Rep querying what would happen in this exact scenario due to Amazon's prime / price changes. And got a tally of my pool on the day of receiving the winning notification as per a post right here with you guys. (Total pool: $969.20).

      Time to see what happens.

      • I don't have a copy either unfortunately. On the list if the price has changed, it does list a price at date of adding. Based on that mine is over by $30, but I'm positive I calculated on the day and was well under before submitting. I guess prices could have changed after submitting.

        • On that note, the amazon website only states a price change if the price has decreased since time of adding.

If it got more expensive, it wouldn't say a thing.

          • @Gnilgorf: I've replied. Won't help, but makes me feel a little better.

            • @shaneb: Sent in my email. Attempted to call as previously but no luck there. Just like the previous two months. Will probably have to step it up to above the current contact if this keeps going nowhere.

Wonder how many of the 25 winners got shafted due to Amazon fluctuations…3 of the 4 original winners here isn't exactly promising.

              • @Gnilgorf: Feel sorry for you guys. Pretty shitty on Seven Networks behalf. Hope you get something sorted out.

              • @Gnilgorf: I wonder whether our prizes were reallocated.

  • +2

Just got this email and have no idea if it's real. I ended up clicking the link and it does take me to Amazon but my items were all Prime and came to $988.99.
    Who thinks it's a scam?

    Hi (my Name),

I'm Pranay from Amazon.com.au's Executive Customer Relations team.

I'm happy to inform you that you've been selected as a winner of 'CHANNEL SEVEN SUNRISE ‘AMAZON CHRISTMAS WISH LIST’ PROMOTION'.

We are unable to dispatch your items in wish list because they exceed the AU$ 1,000 limit or currently out of stock. Please choose products on www.amazon.com.au which are AU$ 1,000 or less and reply to this email with the link(s).

Please keep in mind that the products which you select must be Prime eligible (as indicated with the Prime symbol alongside the product) and sold by Amazon Australia.

I hope to hear from you soon!

    • it would be dependant on the email address i guess, but it sounds legit.

When you went to amazon, you stated all were under 1k and that they are prime eligible, have you checked all are in stock?

If all the items you have in your wish list are in stock, still showing "prime" on the wishlist page and if it remains under 1k, I would email them back asking which item(s) there are problems with and go from there (unless you want to build a completely different wish list with new products and email them the links)
if one or more of the items are not showing prime or in stock, then just email them the ones that are and additional item(s) to make up the balance would be my suggestion(s)

My list was around 906 when i submitted it and less by the time the order when through, would have been nice to be offered the chance to add items to take it to 1k lol

    • +1

      Wow…Congratulations?

I guess there's minimal risk. If it really is Amazon, then (unless you check a certain box) are the only ones that have access to your private details anyway. If not, they are scamming you by buying your wish list???

Interesting timing of this mind you.

      The Saga:

The original Channel 7 rep managed to get in contact with me yesterday. They quoted the terms and conditions, though I explained my valid entry at time of entry / win and the fluctuating prices, delays etc. They sounded surprised as it was something they were unaware of / did not account for and would investigate. Sent them another email with all the information I had. They'll get back to me by mid-next week.

Side note, it sounded as if Amazon are the ones 'reviewing' the entries.

However, your email adds an interesting twist. Based on your email, they are actually allowing entrants to correct entries that were in breach of the T&C's. Where as the rest of us never got that opportunity, despite being quoted that our entries were invalid due to not adhering to them.

This is all being terribly mismanaged, but still congratulations! Though i'm concerned that they're reallocating prizes now after realizing their stuff up first time around. (Again, 2nd chance prizes were not meant to be done til March). Though one scenario is that this all results in more than 25 winners :D MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE?!

If for some reason C7's investigation still finds my entry invalid, I might have to quote the email you've posted.

(And I also hope the other 'winners' here aren't tearing into C7's reception team. One earlier in the week sounded genuinely happy I wasn't going ape on them given the situation.)

      • Sounds like some interesting developments. I never heard anything back from my e-mail, despite the offer to e-mail if we had any queries. All as I said in my e-mail was that I was disappointed with the outcome, how long it took to get there and that when I submitted the list I hand calculated the total to ensure I was under $1k & all items were Prime.

    • Curious Kash, how are things working out on your end? Any reply from Amazon?

  • Morning guys. Thank you for posting @kash1, hope we get a response like that soon. I haven't received any email or call since the disqualification, but I have replied to SunRise and explained my side of the story same as the rest of you. If you need to double check your original wishlist value, use camelcamelcamel.com when it's back online. URL given directly by Amazon Support.

I was going to raise this issue on their social media on Monday and came to ask if anyone would care to join me so we may form an united front. Given the recent developments above, I guess I can put this move on hold for the moment.

    Have a wonderful weekend :)

    • My wife had been pestering me to post on the Sunrise Facebook page. Hadn't gone there yet. Okay to join you. Facebook is all I have though. I had been trying the historical price path, but camelcamelcamel's recovery date keeps getting pushed out.

  • I haven't used Facebook in years, I'm thinking we should use #RobbedByAmazonSunrise or #CheatedByAmazonSunrise as title, something dramatic to get clicks. Is # a thing on Facebook? Let me know what you think.

    or

Maybe we can get the amazon rep's email address from @kash1?

    I'll check back tonight.

    • Not sure about hashtags on Facebook. As it is, I have an account, but barely use it. Sunrise and watchers appear to be very active on it though. Here is a shortcut to their visitor posts:

      https://www.facebook.com/Sunrise/posts_to_page/

      • @shaneb You want to post something tomorrow? Maybe in the morning before work, when SunRise is on.

@Gnilgorf Did the Channel7 rep call you back or was it an email? It sounds like that person didn't read our emails regarding the price changes. Hopefully the rest of us will have our lists re-reviewed as well.

        • It will need to be Tuesday morning for me. Monday mornings are a bit hectic for me. Will send a link when I have something up.

          • @shaneb: Sure thing. What time on Tuesday roughly?

One item on my wishlist went from $60 to 'out of stock' to now over $200. If I clicked on the item it links me to the next available version, half the size of the one I selected. The original item doesn't show up via search. :/

            • @jaydee4: Heya guys~

They called me on Friday afternoon. Around 4pm~

And yeah, they were rechecking their inbox for my emails. And I had to re-explain everything I had typed up so…there's that.

I did make a point that I am aware of others being affected by this as well. So at the very least, they should be investigating the error beyond just my submission.

They did say they would get back to me mid-week. But we already know about 'Soon' so. We shall see.

            • @jaydee4: I've drafted something up, but I'm concerned it's just going to end up being one giant troll fest.

              • @shaneb: @shaneb Let me know when you do post something and I'll reply/post my own. Make sure to tag @SunRise
and @AmazonAustralia. Waiting around is getting us no where, as long as it is not a giant rant, it can't get any worse. :P

                • @jaydee4: Sorry guys. I haven't done it yet. I can't find a way of posting it without it going on my feed. I don't really want that.

  • @shaneb No worries. :)

note to self: use the reply button

  • Mid-week has passed. Apparently they made inquiries and are also waiting to hear back.

    Lots of waiting for everyone…

  • camelcamelcamel is finally back online :)

    • Aye just thought to try it myself and yay its up!

Though is there a way to track the entire wish list at once, or do we have to go through each item individually?

Edit: Found the wishlist import. But it seems bugged, says my wishlist is empty. Time to do it the old fashioned way.

Side note, still awaiting C7's reply after my follow up call last week. Will compile the camelcamelcamel info and forward through for more evidence.

    • HA, 9 of my 14 items are Ghibli films. 7 of which don't have any tracking data and of course I know they fluctuate like mad. Who would have thought they were that niche to not be tracked.

But even, my '6th of December' price totals to under $1k (using today's prices as proxy for the missing items). Interesting.

      • @Gnilgorf I think 3camels's database isn't 100% restored yet. Some of my items that was missing this morning has just shown up.
If it pops up on the US camel site, it should appear on the AU camel later.

  • :/ still waiting…

    • I've given up. I'd say that they re-issued our prizes to other people.

      • Yeah hopes are fading. Haven't heard anything back. What a disappointing end to it all.

        • Got an automatic email reply: on leave till 25th.

          • @jaydee4: Yep same thing >.>

Forwarded to the other email mentioned in the auto reply. Whom I believe is the person higher up in the chain.

          • @jaydee4: Yo Jaydee~

Was about to send an update to you (and shaneb) via PM but I believe your PM is disabled.
