Got an email from suncorp, they are running special discounts on coles egift card from tomorrow at 10AM. You can buy a $500 coles gift card for $465 rather than usual $475.

*7% off Coles Offer valid for strictly 24 hours from 10am (AEST) 6th December 2018. - $500 Max purchase. Limited to the first 5000 customers.

    How does everyone keep track of their Coles gift card balance? Woolies have an app that will do that but it does not seem like Coles has.

        When you purchased something the balance is on your receipt.

          You can check the balance at https://secure.giftcards.com.au

          I've used it for Coles cards, target cards, Kmart cards, and Myer cards

            @isthisreallife22: I add it as a "loyalty" card in my Samsung Pay app and maintain the balance (manually) there. The card also scans from the app at the checkout.

                @isthisreallife22: U don’t have to keep track u just keep scanning it till pos tells you you are low in credit and ask if u want to use up the rest of it. That’s one good thing coles have over woolies ecards.

      Yep same for me, only 5% via the website.
      But there's a banner that says Woolies 7% off from Thu 10am until some time on 7 Dec which has been cropped.

      What do they think was gonna happen when you advertise 7% off for only 24 hours and 5000 limit?
      Of course it's gonna be hammered. They should make it at least 3 days with no limit.

    Brilliant but possibly dodgy ambush marketing move by Woolies. I go in wanting to spend $465 at Coles and come out spending it at Woolies instead.

    I don't really understand that reason. If they had a limited allocation (and they originally said it was limited to 5000), why does that now mean they can't go ahead?

    I emailed them threatening to report them to ACCC for bait advertising to which they replied with:

    Unfortunately we only had a limited allocation of 5000 Coles gift cards. We had close to 50,000 customers log in at 10am this morning in order to purchase these cards, and therefore we exhausted allocations much faster then expected. We do apologies for this inconvenience however we have attempted to give our customers another opportunity to purchase with Woolworth gift cards at a discounted rate.

    Did anyone get any of the 5000 cards?

        Here is the email details they sent yesterday to those who were Suncorp users before

        14% off Kikki-K valid for 48 hours from 3pm (AEST) 5th December 2018.
        10% off BCF valid for 48 hours from 3pm (AEST) 5th December 2018.
        *7% off Coles Offer valid for strictly 24 hours from 10am (AEST) 6th December 2018. - $500 Max purchase. Limited to the first 5000 customers.
        ^20% off North Hem valid for 8 days from 10am (AEST) 6th December until 10am (AEST) 14th December 2018 or while stocks last, only 50 available.
        10% off Endota Spa valid for 72 hours from 10am (AEST) 7th December 2018.
        6% off K-Mart valid for 72 hours from 10am (AEST) 7th December 2018.

        At least they added the Woolworths card as an extra after the 5000 were exhausted

          huh? we know the claims, we're just not buying them. If 5,000 cards were sold how come no one has come forward to claim that they bought one. Suncorp made an obvious error. The 7% off was for the Woolies Gift cards to begin with. Corporations should just own up and not lie to their customers, it insults our intelligence.

            In addition, I've been a Suncorp Rewards customer for a while now, but never received an email from them about this deal.
