I need some help! I'm looking to buy a relatively expensive machine that I saw in Spotlight however I'm wondering if I should wait for a sitewide sale. Does anyone have any indication on when the next sitewide sale is, either based on past sales or if you just know (*wink wink)?

What machine? The sitewide discounts often/always have exclusions on certain brands or types of goods. For example, Brother scan and cut machines are normally excluded, but the consumables aren't. I have seen sewing machines and overlockers excluded before, not sure if that is all the time or if it is still done at all.

I usually read the fine-print exclusions but I can't remember Cricut being mentioned, I do note the Brother cutter because I have one. It's also worth checking Lincraft around the same time Spotlight have a discount sale as they tend to compete against each other. Even though Lincraft said their discount didn't apply to anything to do with the cutters, I bought many consumables with a discount, it may well apply to their machines too. I'm not sure if they stock the Cricut too.
