  • Thought the Phillips hs1 was recalled ?

    • The Philips HS1 was not recalled the defibrillator that was is the hospital/advanced life support grade MRX defibrillator.

      Direct from the TGA website:
Philips HeartStart MRx Monitor/Defibrillator Model Number: M3536A
Philips advised in May 2017 that the HeartStart MRx will no longer be supplied. Although removed from the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods on 19 July 2017, the HeartStart MRx continues to be used and fully supported in hospitals, private clinics and ambulance fleets across Australia to save lives. TGA Recall Reference RC-2014-RN-01275-1

The other Philips defibrillators such as the onsite HS1 and FRx are not involved with this recall.

  • Just a heads up for prospective buyers. There has been legal action about faulty defribillators involving this brand. There has also been other discussion in the news about defribillators faults.

  • Wow charging extra for the key so it can be used on a child without killing them, and I thought video game DLC was bad.

  • What is the major difference from the two version?
Does the HS1 work on kids?

    • The major differences are the durability and use on a patient under 25kg.
      HS1:
      - Separate Child/Infant pads required for use on a patient under 25kg
      - IP rating 21 (sealed from solid objects and drip proof)
      FRx:
      - Infant key required to be inserted for use on a patient under 25kg
      - IP rating 55 (Waterjet proof and Dust Protected)

  • Your unit serial numbers not affected by FDA/USA issues?

    • The units we supply are not affected by that issue as they are all manufactured in 2018. The issue you refer to is for units manufactured prior to 2013. Thank you.

  • ozbargain needs one at HQ for all of us after we get Credit Card bill for month of November and December

    • -1

Ozbargain needs one for when you come out of the penalty box.

  • When does this finish

    • +1

This Sale ends on 21st December 2018, 5pm.

  • Hi,
    For the HS1:
    - Separate Child/Infant pads required for use on a patient under 25kg

    Are these Child/Infant pads included?
If not, how much do they cost?

    • This current sale does not include infant/child pads in that price.
      These pads cost $177 extra

      • Thanks. So the FRx maybe better value?
Do they work on kids (year 5-14)?

        • I would recommend the FRx as a unit to use for all ages as there is no need to change pads for a child, just insert the key to change to pediatric mode.
The FRx is More cost effective in the long term as the infant key does not have a shelf life.

  • Any further discounts for Health professionals purchase?

    • The current sale price is the best price available. At the moment you Save $973 off the FRx defibrillator and $700 off the HS1 unit.
Surf Life Saving NSW sees the importance of early defibrillation in the chain of survival and is committed to making this sale price available for everyone.

      • Thank you. Going on a cruise in early Jan, would hoping to TRS the FRx.
Do you know if there would be any problems bringing the FRx on the cruise or claiming TRS?
        Thanks.

        • Defibrillators do not incur GST, my understanding is that TRS only refunds you for GST paid on goods bought in Aus.
