Trawling the interwebs and came across a Bioware site noting that if you buy dragon age 2, or have a current copy, you can download a free Mass Effect 2 game from Bioware (I'm assuming it's a sorry for lazy development on DA2?)

Anyway full discription after the jump but basically;

    wow cool, but reviews werent that crash hot for DA2. Is it worth going into DA2 if you havent played any of the other games yet? (note, I also havent finished MA 1 yet!)

      DA2 is still a good game, just different from the rest of the franchise. People expected it to be a follow up and it's a big change. It's got more of a GoW feel to it (though of course it's not as good as GoW… because what is?)

        Aye it feels lazier at the end of the day, DA:O was wicked fun IMHO, and DA:2 just seems lame? they recycled zones with reckless abandon (every house in hightown has exactly the same floor plan with different rooms blocked off) and it all seems like a watered down game.

        As the poster below me mentions, if you have DA:2 it's a good deal, but not sure if I would buy it just to get at ME2

          That's why I recommend go for the PC version, the mods make the vanilla so much more interesting

      DA2 is a great game, I think it's up there with DA:O, it's just a little different.

    Mass Effect 2 was quite good. DA:origins was ok, left it mid stream for a few months.. Not sure I would go out and buy DA2 at full price. If you already have it and dont have mass effect 2 then this is a good deal.

    Sweet. I got DA2 as a gift. Haven't even played DA:O. ME1 was heaps good and I've been meaning to pick up ME2 sometime so this suits me, thanks. Wish you could download it on Steam though. Hate having my games spread across multiple clients.

    Which brings the price of DA2 and ME2 down to $50 if you purchase it from bigpond games.

      Yeah I think if you have played the game and used the unique code thing it will let you download the PC version of ME2.

    ME 2 - awesome game.

    DA2 is ok, but so many bugs re video cards (especially nVidia cards although better now with new beta drivers) & crashes.

    Too bad it is a the PC version of ME2. I don't have a gaming PC.
