Hi everyone,

Just wondering if you could please help my fiance and i out. We have been selected in the top 10 to win a photography/videography package for our wedding. All you need to do is go to the following link in facebook and vote for reason 4. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

          I think that if it's not unprecedented for ozbrgs to ask for this sort of support in the forums, then we give cassiloo the benefit of the doubt as per her post below. She may indeed be a new member who has discovered an added benefit of joining our community.

          (edit:) That way, if you feel she is taking advantage, exercise your personal right to not comply with her request.

          If others have posted similarly, and we try to arbitrarily enforce some notion of 'established' member we run the risk of becoming a 'clique', and excluding/discouraging new members. Is it fair to say we benefit more from inclusivity and growth?

          But if this kind of thing is a genuine/ongoing concern, perhaps petition mods for a rule to be added (if it isn't already) that defines what is and isn't okay from a 'new' (define that?!) member.

          My two cents.

    I am not trying to spam at all. I joined this morning as i am on the lookout for a new bed and saw that people had put posts up like this. Sorry if it is a coincidence.

        Thanks Matt, i really appreciate your support on this. I do feel like not being apart of this site and just deleting my account now as I feel that already the site does not have a good name due to a few people that have said i am someone i am not. But i will however continue to be apart of it unless I do get anymore remarks i will be straight off. Thanks again and have a lovely day :)

          If you're going to take the opinions of a bunch of strangers to heart then, yeah, perhaps you won't enjoy it around here. Or any online forum for that matter.

          If, on the other hand, you're prepared to leave this post to the discretion of thousands of random users, believe in your reasons for posting and not take the outcome too much to heart - then I hope to see you around a whole lot more.

    Greenpossum I think you have read my post completely wrong there. I was not saying at all that i am going to delete my account now.     I said that I am not just on here to get votes i have already explained myself about that. I just saw when i was flicking through this site this morning as i am looking for a new bed as we have recently moved into a new house that people also have asked for people to help with competitions. I don't see why i should have to explain myself so much just to join a site though….

    Please can you leave it at this and stop putting me down for joining the site. If you don't want to help me out with voting that is fine, its always your choice but i would appreciate the chance to use this site for my future purchases and even sales if the case may arise.

    Thanks to those that understand where I am coming from :)

        I will try to, we have won a video package which will be played out our wedding so thats very exciting. Will be fun filming it. Not to sure yet on what we are going to choose to film! Thanks again for your help :)
