Good find OP. That design is a classic.

Good price Nerd, the stock photo doesn't do this watch any justice so I like to link to these shots here which you can zoom in on as well. Another one.

Thanks Nerd. OP has been updated.

  • I wish this model has nylon strap

    • +1

Watch straps can be easily replaced.

      • Member ilikeit can chip in with suggestions on changing the watch strap.

    Is the whole face illuminescent?

  • +1

always get compliments wearing this watch

  • If the face was all lume I'd be all over it. Instead it's "off-white"

    Thanks MathNerd.Bought one.Also 3% cashback at shopback.

    • Well done. You'll love the watch.

  • Nice. I need a big watch to be able to see it, but at 42mm dia it's bigger than my wrist (only slight exaggeration). :)

  • Thanks OP. I looked at your profile photo and thought that watch is for this price, lol. Sigh!

      Haha, one can dream!

Are these your words or cp/pasted?

    • +1

      Copy/Pasted directly from Starbuy's site.

      • Damn, was going to ask if you're a writer lol
(Though I seem to recall you did an AMA and you're a MathTeacher)

  • Just a FYI it does where large i have mine on a Nato looks great too.
But not for the small wristed.

    • But 42mm is quite a small diameter?

      • true but it as i said ts wears larger i think its the white dial that does it. i have other 42mm watches and they wear much smaller the large lugs also make it seem bigger.
I'm not nocking it i like the watch i own it.

        • Just curious what wrist measurements would you recommend for this watch?

  • Does the date keep automatically, or you need to adjust it when there is no 31st day in the month?

    • +2

The latter, because the watch doesn't know what month or year it is.

    • +2

It's not a perpetual calendar, so no, it doesn't change the date automatically at the end of non-31-day months.
The lowest priced Perpetual Calendar Citizen watches that Starbuy stocks are the BL8140 and the BL5551.

      • That's ok, I don't mind winding it back manually :)

    • Consider this. FACTS:

Haha does the Empire know what you've been doing with the power it vested in you?

  • Just wonder if it’s possible to have it delivered to SA by 19/12?
I know StarBuy post Express so it should arrive the next day, but how long they take to post?

    • Just ring them on monday - 02 80690420. They will not be sending out before Monday anyway and will know for sure instead of ozbargainers guessing.
