  • This thing is on sale (hard) everywhere. Is this the Christmas special or did this game bomb before it even started?

    • +1

It seems like every Ubisoft game tanks in price shortly after release

      • Yeah most Ubi games are 70-80% off after a few months

The sales number is bad. I mean, very bad.

This is excellent news as I just picked up the entire collection for one of my kids and I hope low sales means they won’t release too many more sets

        • +1

They're going to release more as per their Twitter account. So stay tuned for Wave 2.

Poor advertising is the issue. I heard about it in a big w catalogue. Anyways I’m sure heaps of people have them under the Christmas tree so could take off afterwards.

  • Amazon gets cashback and target gets discounted gift card. Both good

  • Thanks OP!! I bought 4 starship packs and one weapon pack making more $80 to get free delivery.

  • Wow! Should have waited a day. Posted my deal yesterday and this is heaps better. Handy if you live closer to a target than an EB.

    Anyone tried a price Match?

    • Anyone tried a price Match?

It a physical major department store, wouldn't see why they would refuse price match (but from past experiences, there's always an excuse).

Here's hoping they actually ship these - the last few orders I've jumped on have been refunds several days later. Im sticking with Amazon here as I will actually receive it.

    • Yep, their online stores is a dinosaur. In store or nothing.

  • Thanks for 4 ships and 3 weapons pack for $94 using discount gift card.

  • Can anyone post photo of those target price tags for me please?

  • Potentially stupid question, if you buy the set can you play without all the pieces? The reviews for the game itself (the digital copy) seem really good, but the reviews with the pieces are awful.

So can I buy the set, use the game and ignore the ship?

    • "The game requires you to have the mount attached to your gamepad at all times. If you detach it, the game will pause and ask you to reconnect the mount. The only exception is to have digital versions of the ships. The game will inform you that you can play without attaching the mount."

    • I read in comments elsewhere that you will need to sync the physical item every 7 days.

So.. you can play without them. But every 7 days you'll have to bust out the parts to sync them again before putting them away for another week.

  • Note you can buy this in digital form and not worry about having the ships and bits to keep track of. Unless you really want to have the 'toys' digital looks to be the better option. It comes with far more stuff as well.

Big W has the starter packs for $45 if you can't find them at Target
