Please Help Me with Selecting a Blender?

Hi guys,

I've never actually purchased a blender. Recently I started drinking smoothies on my way to Uni/Work…and this is working really well for me. Currently I'm using a Kmart Blender. $17 and comes with a bottle.

I'm considering upgrading to a NutriBullet because currently, I'm having to blend the drink for almost 30 seconds to get the consistency I want. I remember seeing the infomercials for the nutri bullet…3-4 seconds!

I'm currently considering the recent post from TGG ($71)

Which nutri bullet (or equivalent) should I buy? What's your recommendation in terms of Machine Power (900w or higher spec), and in terms of accessories that come with it?

Can someone please share their experiences?

Thanks

Doesn't your Merc A200 "AMG" blend smoothies for you?

  • Are you really that time poor that blending for 26 fewer seconds will make a difference…?

That being said, i totally dig my Nutra-ninja (i think it's 900w?). Makes some great smoothies, even really thick ones (i like banana but with not too much milk, has an icecream like consistency that way, so it's a little like a cheat food). It comes with a sippy-cup style lid as well so you can just take the whole thing with you. Very very easy to clean, since it's only made of 2 parts. Much easier than any blender i've ever used

go through OP's post history, 100 threads about anything and everything

  • I got this https://www.amazon.ca/Bullet-Deluxe-25-Piece-Canada-Version/… for $50 about 4 years ago at K-Mart. It gets used multiple times everyday and is still going strong.

Stop adding complications and liabilities to your life.

Back in my day, we chew our own god damn food.

With our own god damn false teeth.

  • I’ve got a rip off nutri bullet called, “nutri blast”
It’s really good, I use it a lot more than I thought I would. I do suggest squeezing oranges first otherwise you just end up with slop. It’s great for milkshakes though and blending pumpkin soup in batches. You can also use it to make a very nice choc avocado mousse which tastes like normal mousse but healthier.
    Highly recommend it.
