Great price, have one, makes pasta easy. When cleaning, let the pasta residue harden, and it becomes a breeze.

great product, I think we've probably used it once a week since Sept 2015.

  • Any idea if this one comes with a disc to make Asian style thin noodles? Couldn't find the info on the site

    • +2

Yeh I had a hard time finding specific sizes, not listed online or in the manual.

Only place is on the box, so here ya go

If you want to go thinner you'd need the HR2401/06, chinese noodle/angel hair pasta kit. Sometimes 20% off at Myer, but not at the moment.

      • Great, thanks for the info!

    • No, not the thin ones. Only thick hokkien style.

I have the smaller vivo cheaper version. Much different design but made noodles weekly for 8 months. Then it broke. Good luck with philips warranty claims. Waiting since October for a new mixing bowl.
Great noodle makers, hope it doesn't break.
It does make spaghetti style noodles, not sure about thinner Asian noodles though.

    • I have both. This has far less parts to disassemble (and wash) and the important bits are all metal. A much better unit all round!

      • I don't doubt it is a better unit, the price hopefully reflects the build quality. Simply a comment on Philips customer care.

I basically had to hound them even to respond to my warranty claim. Emails went unanswered for 3 weeks running (i emailed weekly asking for a response).
When i called customer care they said i would be called right back and they never called back etc.
It is only dogged persistence that got my claim addressed and only because I hounded them for an eta have i any idea that my parts are on back order and will arrive in January.
Essentially it will be about 3 months for the replacement part.

        • did you get the accc involved? sometimes a phone call from the accc to the offending company gets said company very motivated.

also, there is of course naming and shaming on philips' facebook page or productreview.com etc.

        • The vivo model broke. Philips customer care was immediate. They organised a replacement part immediately. No complaints here.

Came here just to say that.

Dude 1 - "dude! What's wrong with your robot? "
Dude 2 - "it does that sometimes…i just call it an overflow error"
        Dude 1- "LOL, nasty"

  • Wake up PTGGS20 ,it doesnt seem to work now

  • whats the diff between this and the HR2358 model?

    • No auto-weigh on this one, and I think the 2358 might come with a few more pasta discs.

    • Myer had the HR2358 on $299 plus $50 cash back on limited stock. Managed to pick one up on Saturday. Can combine with their current offer of $10 gift card for every $100 gift card bought.

Cheapest I've seen, especially after the bonus $50 cashback from Philips.

    Not quite, but pretty close.

    • with the recent 10% off ebay gift cards, its a close one ;)

  • this looks amazing

  • Does it make pool noodles?

  • same price now at amazon and harveys

    • FYI 10% cashback at amazon, plus free shipping (prime)

makes it about $150 after philips cashback

  • Is it worth getting the HR2358 model with auto weighing?

    • I've read mixed reviews on the auto weighing. Personally I prefer this, at this price point.

    • +1

It comes with more discs, including the thin noodles discs. So depending on which discs you would use, it could be worth it.

      • I contacted the good guys through ebay to cancel the order for HR2357/06 model but they've processed it anyway hmm, Going to get the auto-weigh model from Myer currently $299 with $50 back + family discount, I will try to post a receipt if people want it for price matching, Should come down to about $150 with cashback :)

        • family discount is $100?

        • What's the family discount? Is it from a family member who works at Myers?
