    • With Samsung SSD cashback currently on, it is hard to beat the 1TB 860 Evo SSD deals.
    • This is BX500, which is the cost cutting DRAMless offering from Crucial. It's fine for just Web browsing, and light workload. However, the price is not low / attractive enough. Even though it is 3D NAND TLC, the performance is more like the upcoming QLC (the NAND chip is 2 times slower than MX500).

Yeh but this still shits on a HDD does it not cuz

      • Not for sustained writes, which is around 100MB/s. So, if you copy say a 50GB file, it behaves like a HDD, rather than a SSD (other TLC SSDs offer 2X to 3X the sustained write speed). As long as you don't copy data from another SSD to this one (to be honest, if you have another decent SSD in the same system, I doubt you would buy this), it is fine.

For most people, you wouldn't go heavy writes on SSDs anyway. Even with the sub-par 4K random read/write for SSD, it is still better than HDDs.
