I dont think that counts us, does it?

Cool. Do we need to register?
Who wants to organise an oZbargain christmas party there?

A pity their DNS is down.

This is for the needies, not for us

A lot of people still have the internet (or occasional access) and are really struggling. Let's not presume everyone on this website is using it for expensive luxuries.

+1… I have access to the internet. Due to Ozbargain deals it costs me less than $5 per month. For the past few years some months have been completely free and very recently some months Cashrewards and Shopback have been paying me more than it has been costing each month.

"Why do people feel the need to pontificate the bloody obvious?"

        it's a moral superiority contest

I guess the whole point is to share the message to homeless people who might not know this. I would definitely do this. The pity thing is it would be difficult for them to reach there without free public transport. So all the ozbargain hunters who saved big $$$ please give some spare change to the homeless people whom you pass on the message so that they reach the destination.
I apologize if I have broken any commenting rules.

    • You broke Rule 47: No Heart

The bargain is king. If you can save $1 (or even less) you should be prepared to kick your own granny down the stairs to get it.

Anyone expressing other priorities, including but not limited to world peace, humanity, humility, charity or good will, will receive a temporary ban.

On Christmas Day, public transport throughout Victoria will be free from 3am on Christmas Day until 3am on Boxing Day and will operate to a Sunday timetable. Metropolitan trains, trams, buses and regional town buses will also be free from 6pm on New Year's Eve until 6am on New Year's Day

I was thinking about reporting as inappropriate, but it also does mention people who would otherwise be alone for Christmas. Some ozbargainers may fall into that category.

  • Wonder why nobody posted about Sikh Temples, where you can have a free meal almost everyday of the week

    • +5

That's not the kind of meal we Sikh.

      • If you are doing it tough, I am sure you would appreciate anything to eat.

Thanks OP. This is the only lunch I'll be able to afford after I pay for my LG C8

  • Please pull down this post.
This is a pre-booked event for the disadvantaged. Posting this may lead to disappointment and exacerbate mental health issues to those who are already having a difficult life with Christmas being one of the loneliness times of the year. It may also lead to an altercation when volunteers have to turn away hoards of people who could get help elsewhere. It may seem harmless but it may cause a lot of damage.
