I will ask the inevitable question: How does this compare with the Hisense N7? This is edge lit I think where as N7 is back lit? Or is N7 edge lit too?

    • it's lit

@edshays N7 is 2017 year model…current equivalent is P7 and yes, it is edge lit.

Awesome TV. Bought it 3-4 months ago.
    Just under $1900.

Allow budget for a sound bar. Should have came just as a panel for cheaper.

    • What sound bar did you get? I'm looking for one with ARC support.

  • Just pulled the trigger on this one. Thanks OP

  • Awesome tv. Bought it on the weekend with the 10% off code for $1804 delivered. Arrived yesterday in VIC.

mmm, been waiting for the Sony x90F to drop in price but this is very tempting. Could get this TV and a great soundbar for the same price as the Sony. Decisions, decisions

I'd lean towards this because down the road these OLED's will have burn-in issues if you run a lot of static content like gaming or free-to-air tv (with their static logos). The Samsung LCD's are a good all-rounder. I also recommend investing more into sound if you love your movies and shows.

I get some of what you’re saying except for the OLED part. The Sony x90F isn’t an OLED.

    • And no upvote? Cold as

  • Comes to $1659.20 with the 60.00 shipping!

  • Very good TV just had a friend pay $1930 for it two weeks ago from Harvey Norman. Compared it with my Sony X9300E and it's close (obviously not as bright so HDR isn't top notch but still good). Fantastic colours - greens are on Qseries level. Pretty much top end except for two things the dirty screen effect so when the show, movie or sports event is panning across the screen you can see a few vertical lines. Also blacks are good but not great as local dimming is only average on this set but but tops most others. That being said it's better than any other mid range TV including the Hisense P7. Without a doubt the best value around right now.
P.S. the motion on this TV can have too much Soap Opera Effect even with the setting turned off. Everybodys taste is different with that. Samsung tend to have it at a higher frame rate as default for some reason.

  • Thanks OP, bought one

    • And no upvote? You chilling with Santa at the North Pole? Cold as ice..

Samsung 65" Q6f can be had for $1872, fyi.

  • Anyone else not receive theirs yet? Mine has been at the Allied Express depot since Monday.

    • Do you have any update on this? I had a TV shipped out from this same store through Allied Express almost a week ago and the tracking still says "shipment is no status recorded"… think I'm gonna have to ring them up and see what's going on. Reviews for this courier seem pretty bad online.

      • Yeah I called them a couple of times on Friday and it arrived here in Brisbane Monday. Kick up a stink. I have dealt with Allied Express a few years ago in a professional setting and found their service lacking. In other news, the telly is great and very pretty. Hope you get yours soon.

        • Will do. Tracking only just updated this evening to show that it's in their depot at Chullora, so I guess I'll give it until Monday next week before I give em a ring, mine is Brisbane bound too. Enjoy your TV :)
