Thanks mate, good deal. The main IAP (the app itself) is discounted now also, $22.99 in the Australian App Store.

  • Tapped on the “Get” button for both packs and it’ll then flash to a “Full Game required” message in-game.

Not sure if I actually got it.

you will first need to purchase the base game for $22.99 and then select the above expansion packs to have them added for free

    Sid Meier's Civilization

Did he also design the Music Bowl?

Can’t wait for Carols by candlelight.

  • Awesome deal. I feel ripped off as I paid for a couple already.

  • Is the game decent? I havent played VI yet, and have basically nothing to kill time on my ipad.

    • +1

      It's awesome!

  • How much was regular full game price previously?

You can only get these ‘free’ in-game expansion packs if you purchase the full game for $22.99

Further you can’t family share this game ie buy one game share with family - as they’ve sneakily made the purchase unlock in-game which isn’t covered by that policy.

    • I bought this game on iPad for $49 which is 50% off that time, around 7 months ago.

  • Would also like to know if $22.99 is worth this game. Is it the full desktop experience or a dumbed down port we have seen in previous instalments of CIV on mobile?

    • I thought it was a good time waster for flights. Not dumbed down like Revolutions

    • It's the full game. Aspyr deal in full ports of popular PC games to iOS and MacOS. Usually they are a few updates behind the PC versions, I can't say how it's handled at the moment though. end game might be a bit laggy on a big map with lots going on the turn time might be a while too, but that's the same for the PC version as well.

Looks like the free trial lets you play any leader and any map up to 60 turns now, and you can pay for the full version and continue your progress, or start a new 60 turn trial game.

Been considering Civ 6 for IOS for some time but never took the plunge. For $22 with the expansion packs I'll give it a punt ( Using Itunes cards that were 15% off ) - Just need to remember to check every few days for which ones are free

    wish this was on android

One of the most addictive games on PC!

  • Is it compatible with the steam multiplayer?

  • Looking at some youtube gameplay and reviews it seems that this is a shortened down mobile equivalent of the pc version and not a full pc port but a mobile port, can any owners of both confirm or deny this?

    • Its a full game, unfortunately does not have latest expansion but otherwise just like pre expansion pc civ6. Pait $68 when released and not regretting it.

Big fan of the PC game but not sure if the mobile version is worth it for about $22. Playing strategy game on a small screen can be tiring.

  • nice. I set a calendar event to repeat every two days to get the rest.

  • Nice, shame this isn't for PC as well.

    • the greedy bastards would never give so much stuff away for free

Great, will go well with the new iPad Pro!

You can turn on retina graphics by editing an app setting file if you hook up the iPad to a PC, it looks much better than the default setting. It’s strange why they didn’t make this an option inside the app in the first place. A video walkthrough for those interested: https://youtu.be/bnlzGwadv84

    Enjoy!

    • Oo this is interesting, always womdered why the ui seems blurry. Have you realised much does it affect battery life?

      • +1

About 25% per hour on the 2018 iPad Pro 12.9” for me.

        • Hmmmm thanks. i’ll probably keep it on default then just to save battery. It’s been going about 15-17% per hour on my ipad pro 11”.
