This seems like a good price. I had this then replaced with the Breville smart grinder. This is a good introductory grinder but quite messy and the grind is not as uniform as the Breville's. If you are just experimenting with grinding your own this is a good way to start, but if you think you will have it for a while, I suggest spending more on the smart grinder ($160 a few times per year)
I'm not sure what you mean by the "few times per year". Are you saying you need to replace the grinder regularly?

Agree - I’ve had both and the Breville is a much better grinder in terms of quality and consistency of grind. It also has a timer/doser that takes into account changes in the grind.
I’ve since updated to a much (much) more expensive grinder and espresso machine and the grinder quality makes a huge difference to the quality of your coffee. Coffee geeks will tell you a high quality grinder is more important than the espresso machine.
However if you are going from buying pre-ground coffee to using the Sunbeam on freshly roasted beans, the taste will be worth it, even if you are doing drip coffee.

Great grinder, same as the EM0480 without the stainless finish. A no-brainer if you're still buying pre-ground coffee.
