Yep I do know. I've got 6 joycons so need something to charge them with, rather than keep swapping them out on the switch itself. Edited the typo in the OP

It's a joke that this isn't the standard grip included with the console.
This doesn't charge unless it's plugged in to a power source. I'd rather just play handheld
The batteries last ages as is, I'd rather put the money towards a Pro controller.
fair point, but to me (and maybe to many) it's the hassle of trying to charge all the controllers before a friends/family gathering. It's usually the 2 controllers that you play all the time that's fully charged but not the others that you don't normally use on a daily basis.
I have the dock and quite like it myself.
