have you tried this before, would you recommend them taste wise ?

      • They're not bad - a bit dry but I like to eat them in two sittings.

Also, do NOT leave in the car… don't taste so great once heat shocked.

        • ahh great thanks!

          I bought 16 ( 8 of each type) worth a try :)

          • @TerryJustTerry: Excellent. I tend to have half a bar with some milk post gym.

I used to leave them in the car for post workout, never again.

      • Good content, though taste is not the best.
IMO Musashi 45 protein gram ones are better - currently half price for 2.82 at Chemist Warehouse

42 grams of protein? Hot damn.

  • I do like these, but the malitol content makes them pretty useless on low carb…

The other hplc small bars are on sale to. Sadly not the whipped mint, love that one.

    • Can you elaborate on your comment "malitol content makes them pretty useless on low carb" for my personal knowledge. Genuinely curious as I thought sugar alcohols were basically carb & energy free.

This is a pretty good article. No such thing as a free lunch sadly…

        • Goddamn. You learn something new every day. Did not realise this - thankyou.

No more sugar replacements for me at all. Even chewing gum!

@JamesRodriguez87: Just pick your battles. Erythritol and stevia seem OK, you can buy them mixed as a sugar substitute in supermarkets. Makes chia seed pudding and coffee a bit more acceptable. Sadly glycerol, and malitol both seem to be essentially relabelled carbs.

One of these bars is still better than a Mars though…
