Does anyone know if the second hand market for banned switch exist? And what the market price would be for the banned consoles?

It'll get banned pretty much guaranteed if you hack it and play online - just a matter of time (doesn't usually happen right away, I think to make it harder for people to tell the exact cause)
It's not the firmware that matters for hacking the Switch (currently - potentially in the future a soft vulnerability will be found in an early firmware). It's a hardware exploit that needs to be physically patched. So if you have a vulnerable model you can actually upgrade to latest firmware and still hack.
OP: Are you looking to buy a banned Switch or offload one?
I am thinking of buying if it is cheap enough. New ones can go sub $300 (with amex cashback), so I expect the banned ones can go for around $200?

why not describe it as such? yeah you'll take a hit, but people know what they're getting.
Who would buy banned consoles?? Unless there's a way to unban them but it requires someone with the know how as a newbie would take forever that the time worth it is just not on and as such would only suit people with lots of time…..or don't have anything better to do….
Just like "Who would buy a broken console" except those who would know how to fix it up just like brand new…which would require time that others may or may not have or don't want to spend on….
i will… because i dont play online… and i buy things sometimes because of the fun to fix/mod/hack not really to play.
just to be able to tinker with them for hours days weeks thats enough and satisfying.i still remember getting my iphone 4, bought, rip the plastic, and straight away jailbreaked it.

I believe so.
I don’t think you will buy a cheap banned console. The reason it is banned is because it has been modded to play pirated games. People tend to mod these, add an SD card and 40 games to the card and sell it for way more than it’s worth.
i dont mind. i dont play online at all. as long firmware is old and hack-able. and its good if you can share to the community, how did it get banned, and some tips/tricks to avoid. thanks in advance.
