They could also make a sightly cheaper version in the same factory with LADDA add ons…

I'm open for ideas, if there's enough backing happy to look into a collaboration :D

        • keep riding that cringe wave

  • +3

Broden you are welcome to buy the whole lot.

  • this is all very amusing but i have a serious question: are those things actually comfortable? how can a plastic clog be comfortable? don't your feet sweat?

if they felt awesome and made my feet happy, i wouldn't care so much that they are hideously ugly. my feet don't have eyes to look in the mirror, nor ears to hear the laughter as they walk down the street. they just want to be comfy.

Crocs are good for wearing around the house in winter, particularly if you need to stand up for a while for things like cooking. The footbeds are actually quite comfortable and the shoes are easy to get on and off. The air vents normally stop the foot getting too sweaty. I wouldn’t wear them out anywhere.

      • thank you.
i don't suppose you have ever worn wooded clogs and could compare them?

I wouldn’t wear them out anywhere.

because they wouldn't be comfy, because they'd be sweaty, or because you'd be too embarrassed?

        • +1

Too embarrassing. I place them in the same category as moccasins.

They have more give than wooden clogs.

          • @try2bhelpful: thank you

            i have a high threshold for embarrassment…

            • +1

@bargain huntress: Then you should be fine. I wear them quite a bit in winter and have had to scuttle back a couple of times to take them off when I’ve wandered out and forgotten. If you are a Costco member they have base end ones for $20 at the moment. Personally I find they are great for standing up for long periods.just keep an eye on the sales they can get quite cheap. Just check your sizing.

              • @try2bhelpful: LOL, I am imagining you doing an embarrassing-shoe-emergency-scuttle, adorable.

thank you for the costco info

ordering shoes online for me is like russian roulette because i have very weird feet, so i will have to leave the house unfortunately.

@bargain huntress: Not sure in QLD but shopping centres and DFOs usually have Crocs stores. wander in and try a few pairs to get an idea of sizes and then order online. Try on the ones you want to buy, then walk out of the store, go online and order the ones you want. The online stores tend to be cheaper than the walk in ones.

                  • @try2bhelpful: that is a good idea i have considered before…

but the sales people have always come to help me, and it takes them so long to find a match for my feet/mutants (and they have to go out the back to get different sizes and models 5 times, and to look at and touch my feet (and that makes me feel guilty/ashamed) and get on the floor and up and down over and over) that i feel like they deserve their sales commission if they get one, and i can't bring myself to do it.

but if the day ever comes where no one helps me and i find the right shoe myself and i look on my phone and they're cheaper, then i will walk out and order online with ozbargain pride.

I wear their "work" flats to the office, but nowhere else. They're comfy and they last a good year before I need to replace them, which is better than the $30 shoes I used to buy from Big W and Kmart. They're ugly as hell but they last a long time and they're easy to clean.

        • i thought they might be easy clean. thank you

          • +1

@bargain huntress: No worries! I've read reviews of a lot of nurses and paramedics wearing them to work because they clean up so easily. You can get them on sale at Myer too, if they don't have your size on the Crocs website (they are always sold out of mine).

  • Is it April fools already? Also this belongs on Subtle Asian Traits…

joke posts not allowed. I posted a good one of a designer shirt NOT A JOKE POST and got removed. please mods review your banning tactics.

    • +1

So do you want this one removed or yours reinstated? This actually should meet the criteria. It is a bargain and there may be people out there who will buy them. However, I do not want to see the inside of their houses, or the contents of their wardrobe.

      • i just realised those black pearls are actually functional, thought it was a joke post nvm.

        • Personally I would love it if ozbargain had a “really?” category for bargains that only a mother can love. These posts are hilarious but people do get huffy that they aren’t serious bargains.

        • "Functional" ?
          How are they functional?

          • +1

@damion: same concept as knuckle dusters, but for your feet

            • @Budju: They do look like an incontinent rabbit has squatted on your foot,

    • Why do you think this is a joke post. Perfectly valid sale bargains.

Whilst the image chosen is certainly not my cup of tea, crocs have some very good shoes and the sale has good discounts.

idk why I need it but I just bought one

These shoes would be popular amongst trypophobes!

They ought never, ever get a magnifying glass: they would be disgusted by their own skin or tongue.

This post reminds me of the time I was walking down the street in my Crocs and a homeless guy heckled me about my fashion sense!

    • True story!

    • what was he wearing?

      • +1

The usual homeless attire, grey shirt and pants I think. I had no response and friends that were with me couldn’t help but laugh afterwards as well! 😅
