  • “Athlete”?

Made of ground up old bangers?

Dog Dry Food - Turkey & Pork
Dog Dry Food - Lamb & Kangaroo
    Dog Dry Food - Athlete

    Didn't know that's a type of meat?

    • +1

Wonder what type of athlete is in it . I'm guessing the ones that aren't the fastest.
Gives your pet a taste for the postman when he tries to run away.

      • +5

        Greyhounds

        • Greyhounds

Hmm, athlete is generally related to sports, unfortunately with all the cruelty that has come out within the greyhound racing industry, we probably cannot call it a sport .

Ah, Pete Evans… providing quality nutritional and wellness advice to anyone gullible enough to accept it

    • +11

He knows better than Doctors! /end sarcasm

    • +1

Free food is free food, who cares what's in it.

    • +1

      Broccoli dog might disagree!

    • +5

As much as I don't like him. Its actually a pretty decent dog food. All other foods are either pumped up with cheap grains or "grain free" and pumped up with protein from legumes that are showing and increased link with heart disease in dogs

      • +7

Yes, it's a shame it's endorsed by Pete as it's a major stumbling block to me buying it. I might take some free samples though.

    • Is it a valid reason to neg this based on the fact that the guys is just an utter nutcase?

  • +3

in before someone's lunch dinner or breakfast is sorted

  • +1

I think kicking my dog in the face and then feeding it Roundup would be healthier.

    • Why's that?

      • +1

Check any of the links in this thread.

    • Looking at the ingredients, it actually looks like pretty good dog food. A lot better than some of the other "premium" dog foods like Hills and Royal Canin.

  • +25

I wouldn't trust pete Evans to cook me a meal, let alone for my dog.

    • +4

Its a pity, this guy was a star when he had his cafe in Brighton, then he became a flog.

      • How come Peter Evans become a flog?

        • +7

          See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pete_Evans#Criticism
Basically publicising and encouraging view that are at best scientifically incorrect and at worst dangerous.

          • @wyndham29: I don't understand why he did that? What's the point?

            • @Yaren24: Not sure. I think he's done quite well marketing stuff related to that. So at a guess I'd say equal parts greed and actually believing in what he's spouting

              • @wyndham29: I recall few years ago watching MKR, both hosts appeared to be very cringy and so as the other guests, bitchin and whining and wait for 1 - 2 hours for their dinner, idk how tv show gets rating lul

            • @Yaren24: The controversy helps him sell books??

    • The structure of this statement make me thing you value what you feed your dog higher than what you eat. Not saying it's a bad thing, just interesting. :-)

      • Dog, wife, kids, even our household plants eat better than ye old breadwinner of my clang…

  • +3

    Looks like site is down?

    • same here :(

While feeding this to your pet, make sure you also stare at the sun and feed your baby some bone broth.

This deal really activates my almonds.

      And alkalised my water.

If you don't think your dog/cat is getting enough protein in their diet, then add some protein - chicken, meat, fish.

    • +3

On a similar note. If you're feeling short of breath, then try breathing in, then out.

      • +1

Agreed - no need to get a free sample of Pete Evans Paleo-Air-In-A-Can

    • Pffft. You weirdos and your scientifically sound advice. I'd much rather listen to a guy on TV who has big shiny teeth and promotes conspiracy theories - you know, THE TRUTH.

  • +2

This guy is a robot. Prove me wrong.

  • Annnd it's down.

  • +6

The funniest thing for me about Pete Evans is how he judges food full of butter, cream, flour, milk, and sugar on MKR and declares it's delicious, while on the other hand he considers those ingredients toxic and unsuitable for consumption.

"At Bistro Guillaume in Melbourne, some delicious-looking bread sits untouched on a plate between Evans and me. "I don't see it as food any more," Evans says"

    https://www.smh.com.au/lifestyle/pete-evans-has-gained-a-mil…

It's like a teetotaler judging wines, or a vegetarian judging steaks at restaurants.

  • Can't we just play nice and work on a ticketing system?! :P

  • This is actually surprisingly good pet food.

    • -1

Here's hoping that your pet and you have a good relationship/communication (and you didn't try the pet food yourself)… LOL

  • -1

Anyone proclaiming this is "good" food, please support you claim with some peer reviewed veterinary science literature.

  • I keep just getting 503. Doesn't seem like the website can keep up with OzBargain.

  • Never trust a guy who has a fake face

  • Free, or not, isn’t it sort of a bad idea for a Chef/Cook of human food to start making food for animals?

    • +1

      Maybe times are tough? LOL

  • I wouldn't even trust his advice to feed my pets

  • Free sample out of stock as shown on top of OZB page.
