Bring Things into Asia to Sell

In the day, you could bring cameras and whiskey into India to sell for a profit.
Nowadays, is there anything that OB brings to Thailand/ Asia in general that makes them a profit?

    Baby milk formula.

    • That would be for China or all of Asia?

      • Mainly China. Some other Asian countries have cows

        • +2

          Holy Cows. Can't eat em.

          • @Yummy: Wait, wut?

That's… that's not what is in baby formula.

From the look of those Chinese import-export stores: sheep skins, ugg boots, lanolin, baby formula, and weird kangaroo tablets.

    Diving equipment.

    • Do u mean that if u dive, they charge heaps for hiring equipment so bring ur own? Or bring in regulators that u sell to the dive operators?

      • Diving boards. Preferably 10 metre platforms.

  • You need to research and understand your market first. Any brilliant ideas, others would be doing it themselves rather than giving you a freebie.

  • I’m not thinking of making a business out of it, things like Vegimite jars or Bundaberg rum …. they would be to sell to travellers..
May years ago I brought whiskey into India…. made me $15 richer but was a bit of fun.

Used ladies underwear for Japan. Worth more if accompanied with a photo

Getting your arse waxed before wearing them for the photos will probably help you sell them too

    South American Head phones

    • I understood that reference!

  • Back in the late 70's it was profitable to bring in a bottle or two of Jonny Walker into India and sell it for double what you paid for it.
I went to a carpet shop in Delhi to sell it and there were a few young american christians in the shop that were staying at the same cheap flop-house I was at. I produced the whiskey and there were gasps of horror from the christians - evil westerner trying to corrupt poor Indians!
Sold the whiskey and no doubt it eventually ending up being onsold to rich Indians.
    Guess I won't be going to heaven….

    • That’s spot on. Could even sell a like new empty bottle so that at the start of the night they use the real stuff but then as night goes on swap for Indian whiskey.

  • Deed to any Australian agriculture property.

  • Beef, very expansive. Milk powder, not for the same reasons as china ..

most luxary goods is very expansive, old video games ….

Wine , you can only take two 1lt bottles to thailand.

    • How would u sell the wine…. swap for a meal at fancy restaurant?

      • +1

I could sell it to a local or expat. The tax on a bottle is crazy.

  • Well as an update, I was actually asking for my kid that was travelling there. And the results are in….

    1. Toilet paper
    2. Sunscreen

Don’t know if u could sell any of those, but u will pay tourist wants tax for that stuff.

      Sunscreen definitely.
toilet paper is not very expansive.
