Just after some advice on the best laptop available under $1000.
The laptop will be used for general internet browsing/office work, light gaming and streaming but will not be leaving the house very often.
After something that features a decent processor (i5/7), 8gb ram+, dedicated gpu and 15.7inch screen.
Any tips on the best deals right now would be much appreciated
Please point us to this MacBook that costs under 1k.
If you can hold off, I believe AMD and Intel are both launching new CPUs later this year.
At worst they'll lower the current gens prices.

My go to recommendation. If you want something in that 2.5" drive bay though pick up one and install it yourself. Their prices are crazy for HDDs.
I've been thinking of getting this one.
What problems does it have?
I've been seeing mixed reviews about this one.
Only problem I've seen brought up is battery life. Personally haven't had issues with it, will last me 7 - 8 hours doing light stuff (think chrome and libro writer docs).
Also, as I mentioned above, HDDs are stupidily expensive. Thankfully easy to get inside, and should come with the stuff you need for the hard drive already.
Drivers have also been an issue with amd laptops, but AMD announced at CES they've started properly working on them (ryzen 2k and 3k mobile)
