Cheaper to get the 8 pack from Woolworths (expires today). Even better when combined with eGift card…

  • -4

As above , cheaper per roll at Woolworths today.

    • +1

Woolworths expires today, Coles starts tomorrow, absolutely ridiculous neg…

      • -1

So it's a better deal to wait a day and pay more?
        Impeccable logic.

    • +2

But that ends today and this starts tomorrow. And what if I only want a 6-pack?

      • -1

        Then buy it today.
And an additional 2 rolls for 58c seems worth the financial strain.
Feel free to dispute/report my vote, but my opinion stays the same.

        • +1

Unless you can find this cheaper tomorrow, then your neg is invalid. Simple.

          • -3

@tightarse: That's ridiculous. The purpose of the voting system is to inform people that they can get it cheaper elsewhere.
In this case it means buying it today to save money now over delaying their purchase and paying more later.

            Negative Vote
            Purpose:

To let others know about issues with the deal, merchant or product.

            • @Tiggrrrrr: You're making the assumption that everyone can get to a Woolworths in the next 5.5 hours. The OP's post is referencing tomorrow, when it will be the cheapest, unless you can direct us all to a cheaper deal tomorrow?

              Your EDIT:

              Negative Vote
              Purpose:

To let others know about issues with the deal, merchant or product.

There's no issues with any of the three, as it starts tomorrow.

              • -1

@tightarse: If it makes you happier, I will revoke my vote in 5.5 hours once there is no longer an option to get this at a cheaper price.

Again, as per the voting guidelines, I am giving people the chance to get a deal today before paying more tomorrow. I really don't see the issue with that.

                • @Tiggrrrrr: I really don't care what you do with your vote, but you've used it here in an inappropriate way. It has nothing to do with the OP's post. The two deals are totally independent of each other, and each deserves voting accordingly. People don't need you to remind them with a neg that one deal ends today, and the other stars tomorrow. That's already quite obvious.

                  • -2

@tightarse: I don't believe my vote is inappropriate as The deal is not the cheapest available RIGHT NOW. As such, please show me where in the guidelines it states otherwise.

As above I will revoke my vote once it IS no longer valid.

                    • -1

@Tiggrrrrr: My last comment on this. The OP's deal is not the cheapest available as it's not available until tomorrow. The deal isn't live yet. Tomorrow, it will be the cheapest available, until you can find it for us cheaper. All the best.

                      • -1

@tightarse: Thank you for your interpretation, but as far as I can tell the guidelines are talking about now. Not tomorrow, or next month or next year.

Fact is that as of right now it is a better deal to buy elsewhere, instead of paying more tomorrow. If you disagree then that's your opinion, it still doesn't make it a fact. As above I will revoke my vote once it IS no longer valid.

                        All the best.

    • Quite apart from the time period issue, a 6-pack of toilet rolls is not the same product as an 8-pack of toilet rolls. If that is a basis for giving a negative vote to a deal, then we should perpetually be down-voting deals for small packs of toilet rolls on the basis that value packs are cheaper per roll.

And, applying the same logic, the next time I see a deal for a 250GB SSD, I should make sure to give it a negative vote on the basis that the equivalent 500GB SSD is cheaper per gigabyte.

      • Hardly an apt comparison or the same logic.

        1. 8/6 << 500/250.
        2. Toilet paper is a consumable item. You would buy 100 rolls of toilet paper to one ssd drive.

        All the best.

  • For those of you that like to buy more than 6 rolls at a time, and don't want to order 135 rolls on Amazon to get free shipping, then drop into BigW for 18 rolls at just $8

Don't forget to use your Wish gift card for an extra 5% saving. (Brings it down to 42c a roll.)
