That is cheap. But is it as good as Old Spice?

    • +1

This particular one is good if you have sensitive skin. Pretty much using any one other than this particular one causes itchiness that suckss for me.

Old spice is as nasty as skunk

    • 30+ years ago, my dad and I used to call Old Spice, "Old Socks" - and I think it was pretty accurate :)

I’ve found these to leave the armpit sticky sometimes and the scent too strong. The one I use and had stocked up on (rexona b&w) has been off shelves for a year or so and I’m down to my last one. They did release a different type of stick b&w but it’s not as good and has a strong scent.

    Anyone have any recommendations?

      Crystals?

      • Yeah - I've been using "Body Crystal - Botanica Roll On Deodorant" recently - seems ok, but of course it's a deodorant rather than anti-perspirant so that may not suit you.

    • Have you tried the deodorant stick version of Old Spice?

I haven't really used anything else since discovering it a few years ago. It doesn't advertise as an anti-perspirant, but I've found it to be better on my skin and also stops me sweating more than the stuff that advertises anti-perspirant (like these ones).

    • I usually prefer roll on but actually don't mind Lynx antiperspirant spray.

What annoys me is the tiny size and all that glass and plastic. Why don't they make it bigger?

saw these at chemist warehouse the other day, for the same price as well

    • Same, already stocked up there.

    • And I bought 10 of these, thinking this is the cheapest they have ever been. lol But I only use these, so all good.

  • +3

I bought these for $1.69 at my local chemist warehouse on the weekend.

    • Q. Why is Amazon so seldom cheap?
      A. Because its job is to line the pockets of the world's richest man, and all his investors.

Many varieties of this to choose from here:

      • What? Amazon is delivering to your door for this price. I bet they're spending more than $1.69 just on shipping. Their entire shopping business barely makes any money. AMZN, and Jeff Bezos, are doing well because they are achieving market dominance by loss leading on everything.

        • Hardly true, you can't get one, or even 25 of them delivered to your door free, unless you pay for Prime*.

"Price: $1.69 & FREE Delivery on orders over $49."

My point is that it is nothing special. Everyone carving out marketshare is doing that on bulk orders, not just AMZN, and others who doing the odd 'loss leader'.

And to be clear, it isn't Jeff making a loss with his business model or even the AMZN investors that back him and absorb risk. The market is deciding the value of their investments with furious wisdom, fear of loss and accelerating anger, so few are losing out on his bandwagon to the moon. AMZN may be reporting losses, but investor money keeps enabling them to buy market share by offering prices that undercut the costs that competitor's are paying each week.

Note *Some may get Prime for free (for now) but to access this, as with other Amazon services, you will pay and keep paying in more ways than just financial ones

You get these and hold them in your hands, they feel heavy and like they will last a while, they actually don't, how the hell do they make money off this, the packaging alone feels more than $1!

I have no body odor at all so I will pass

Last person who told me that used to ride his bike to work in summer and claim to not need a shower. Hint: he did indeed need a shower.

    • what's your secret?

        I was born that way.

          • -4

@Laziofogna: Most East Asian people(Chinese, Korean and Japanese mainly are without odors at all.

          Maybe it's Maybelline

  • Obviously nobody pays full price for this stuff.

  • Annnnd it's gone.

  • I just ordered the Stress Protect: it was still $1.69 each, and not out of stock (nor changed to a higher price).

    Thanks OP!
