Hi guys,

With the latest codes on eBay, I have found the cheapest RTX 2060 (Released yesterday) so far and it could be cheaper if you have eBay gift cards. Not sure if Gigabyte is the best brand but its card quality is not bad at all.

First post and hope it helps :)

    Eh… it's basically MSRP.

Still the cheapest by a good $40.

Yes, today. It's important to highlight the value proposition against global pricing. I didn't neg the deal, I'm just providing more information, so cheers for the neg I guess?

    • I assume this is a pretty good deal on the second day after it released, not to mention that the price could drop to less than $500 if you guys have 10% off eBay e-gift cards.

This is largely what we should expect on the day of release, not paying $30-$40 premiums after GST. It's still best price and worth posting, I'm just adding commentary, in the comments section.

    • Remember, America has to pay sales tax on top.

      • While that's not true of all US states, I'm including GST.

  • Should I get it guys? Is it worth the discount?

I was reading reviews last night & was about to buy the ASUS one off PCCG ASUS GeForce RTX 2060 Turbo 6GB - $628 @ PCCG but I thought I'd wait another day or two to see if I could find it under $600 and ozbargain pulled through.

From what I've read, card performance is around the same as a 1080 / 1070 ti and handles Battlefield V (with its ray tracing too I believe) at a decent fps thanks to NVIDIA's work on their drivers & the battlefield developers continuous improvements to performance.

I'm not really a card expert so don't take my word for it. I'm most likely going to buy one in the next week or so which will give me a better idea as I currently have a 1060 3GB (also a GIGABYTE OC model) :)

    • For what games/resolution/etc

    • Considering the RTX 2060 performs between a GTX 1070 Ti and a GTX 1080, the cheapest 1070 Ti I could find was $610. With the cheapest GTX 1080 being $792 here in Aus.

This is a good deal for that kind of performance, not to mention you get the ray tracing features that aren't available to the 10 series cards such as DLSS and NVIDIA RTX.

If you need this kind of performance, it's good for the price even more so if you want ray tracing.

If you don't need that kind of performance, then well maybe an AMD RX 570 4GB card for around $200 might suit your needs more since the NVIDIA 20 series is a bit disappointing overall. Do note, AMD cards are totally different from NVIDIA ones, as they are a different company and architecture.

It all depends on your resolution, what kinds of games you play and whether you have a high refresh rate.

Take my opinion for what you will, but I read the whitepapers on these graphics card architectures and I test them frequently, so for the price, this isn't a bad deal. Bear in mind though, I haven't tested the RTX 2060 yet, but I have looked at other reputable people's benchmarks, so my opinion is based off that.

If you like ray tracing and want to experience it right now + if you need the kind of performance of a GTX 1070 Ti, then get the RTX 2060. If not, hold off and wait and see if a better deal comes along or buy a different card as a stop gap till the next generation from NVIDIA arrives.

Thanks for your replies guys. I managed to get one before It sold out. I watched youtube reviews and videos and the frame rates are actually really good, similar to 1070 ti and 1080
