That's normal price. Where's the deal?

    • -2

No deal for you. This ain't a 65" TV.

      • -1

Those 65" TV deals were the cheapest ever and probably still are.

These fans are same price every day of the week…and yes, I've them too.

  • Cheers, was about to order the $13 one from K-Mart.

Now I have an excuse to go to Bunnings

  • Replacement warranty doesn't include your house or family when it catches fire like so many other cheap electrical products from Bunnings, K-Mart etc.

If anyone is in the market for a quality fan, I'd highly recommend the kogan premium dc pedestal fan.

This thing has been amazing so far

      • Looks good. Maybe they will get more in. I bought a Moretti with similar specs from Bunnings a couple of years ago, its been excellent. Cant get it now, of course.

    • +3

Seconded, would highly recommend paying more for the premium dc one. I really didn't like that my partner slept with a fan on until we got this one, now I secretly like it. Didn't think I'd ever be a fan, now I'm cool with it.

      • +3

Glad to hear it's now a breeze for you to sleep with a fan on.

  • What's the Wattage of the motors?

    • +1

Having recently acquired the Kogan DC fan, and being a stickler for detail:
      set W
      off 0.5
      26 26.2 normal mode
      10 13.2
      05 09.5
      01 07.2
      09 06.5 silent mode
      08 06.0/6.9
      07 06.2
      06 05.5
      05 05.8
      04 04.9
      03 02.5
      02 02.7/2.8
      01 02.0/2.9

In short: very low wattage compared to any common AC 40cm fans (like the one here) that use around 40-50W and no silent modes.

    • The Lectro is 45W

  • +2

The Kogan unit is well worth the premium. Is virtually silent on low speeds, perfect for light sleepers and at mid speeds almost produces white noise if you prefer, not the hum and buzz od the cheaper AC units.
    Just my opinion…

These are rubbish. I recently bought two of these at that price. They are far too noisy even at the lowest speed. If you want them for bedroom use during the summer, you’ll launch it out the window after 1 day.

    • 100% agree. The breeze is strong but the noise is just too loud. Wonder if I can return it.

  • +2

bought one of these a couple of weeks ago, plugged it in and all i could smell in the house was this electrical/chemical smell ……horrible.

    never again

  • Another plus for the kogan DC fan.
Had two AC cheap fans, now replaced with the Kogan DC fans. They pump out way more air than the cheap AC fans, a lot quieter and less wattage.

  • I don't find the motor loud on the Lectro, however the blades are very loud and low mode is not low enough.

I will be returning mine as it makes an intermittent plastic on plastic scratching sound every few minutes when oscillating.
