  • 5V 3A US power adapter….meh

    • +1

Sorry for the spelling error. Actually it's an AU power adapter. Revised

  • Can it power multiple USB hard disk?

The problem of there kind of USB hub is they are not powerful enough for USB hard disks

If you look at the specs, it says it can power USB hard drives using the power adapter

      • 3A is about the startup current for one drive IIRC.

USB3 will supply a fair chunk extra I assume. But whether 3A power supply is enough extra power when divided by 4 ports I'm not sure.

Since it's a startup current, you might be able to turn them on one by one if it's not enough.

        • I have one unknown brand bought from eBay (powered USB hub) it won't power up multiple USB hard disk.

  • Would like to purchase this but I can't seem to add it to my cart. Help?

    • It's sold out currently. But they still have a 5V/1A Power Supply Adapter on sale for $6.99 with code JQS6RWUK.

      • Thank you…..so if I add the usb hub and this power supply adapter separately into my cart….it is the same as the package which you advertised yesterday?

        • The power supply adapters are different. This one on sale for $6.99 is 5V/1A, yesterday's one is 5V/3A. But the 4 port USB Hub is same, so if you have a 5V/3A power supply adapter already, you only need to buy a USB HUB.

  • I don't think you can change the product like that. The initial product (USB3 hub) and current product (power supply) aren't even for the same purpose. Just mark it expired and create a new deal if you think this power adaptor is cheap. But the power supply is not going to get any votes IMHO.

  • The FCC and C-Tick labels look quite dodgy. I suspect that it's not been certified, so it should not be sold in oz.

  • Do you something that fits this… "12V DC, 2.5 mm center pin, center positive. About 6 to 10W depending on CPU
load. Recommend 12V adapter rated for at least 1.5A to provide margin for peripherals."
