[SA] Cadbury Dairy Milk with Kettle Sea Salt & CC's Original - $0.10 @ Coles Rundle Mall

630

Cadbury blocks of Kettle Sea Salt and CC's are down to 10cents at Coles in Rundle Mall, Adelaide. Either love it or hate it, cant beat 10cents!

I noticed some of the blocks had a best before 4/2/2019.

I thought 50c was cheaper. they're decent if you dont mind a bit salty and crunchy.

Same price at Coles Waurn Ponds

    I quite like the combo

    • Too many great Australians were taken from us last year, including but not limited to - Quentin Kenihan (activist); Cornelia Frances (actor); Jarrod Lyle (golfer); Liz Jackson (ABC journo); Bob Jane (motor racing legend); and Ron Tandberg (cartoonist).

But there were some tragedies in our supermarkets, too, most notably the sad removal of #CokeZero from the shelves. ๐Ÿ˜ญ And 1Dec18 was the official SKU end date for the special edition 'Cadbury Dairy Milk with Kettle Sea Salt' 190g family blocks.

This was THE best collaboration flavour Cadbury did (please, let's NOT speak of the Vegemite and CCs versions)

    Wow. Cheap calories.

    • …and then you have to spend hundreds of $$ on new pants for your burgeoning waste line

      • *waistline

        • …oh yeh. ta. :P

          • +1

@franco cozzo: Waste line is what comes out the back after eating a few blocks.

      • Just wait for some pants deals on OzB.

  • Is it that bad?

    • buy one of each and find out

While eating chocolate, throw some chips in your mouth. Can't imagine it would be that appetizing

        • it might be nice if it was decent chips but even then it doesnt sound great

    • +1

I tried the Kettle ones. They are OK in taste, but I had potato chips stuck in my teeth for hours afterwards. I could only eat one row before getting rid of it.

    • I'm not a fan of them, but really the price is reflecting the clearance to regain shelf space. To me it did taste like eating CCs with chocolate, and if you look at the pieces it is just bits of chip in with the dairy-milk chocolate.

Finally, a use for two 5c coins!

  • Holy moly that price

From what I hear there's a very good reason they're having to sell at this price. I've never tried these myself, but from what I hear the flavour is interesting to say the least. If you haven't tried them though then for 10ยข to give it a try you can't really go too wrong!
I think I might skip it myself though, I eat too much unhealthy food as it is. I'll wait for a sale on apples.

Good luck waiting for a sale at the apple store

Are you saying people aren't liking the taste? I've been buying them regularly (in WA) cos sweet savoury is the best combo ever? Not kidding

        • Maybe for this price I'll have to give them a go myself but yeah, I think I've only heard negative feedback, most people have described it using words like 'marketing gimmick' and 'gross'.

        • I'm with you on that! Chocolate + salt = amaze. Smooth/creamy + crunch = amaze. Double amaze!

My stockpile…at the OUTRAGEOUS $1.00 per block last weekend…is already two blocks down. :-(

              @moorey: HELL. YES!

      • I quite like the Kettle one. Seems like Cadbury grossly overestimated the popularity of these blocks though, given how the stock continues to flow through despite ongoing heavy discounting. Maybe they expected a repeat of the caramilk situation?

        • +2

Bringing back caramilk would have been much better idea

Hard to believe a company this size didn't test such a product more extensively via focus groups etc - seems like it was a flop right from the get go and certainly a brand hurter not to mention considerable loss maker.

Its kinda funny going to coles and woolies and seeing all the "summer" food on clearance in last week.
Sorry this item is only allowed to be sold for 3 months.. 100+ items

  • nice time for me to cook some chocolate

  • +1

The CC's ones were actually alright, but the kettle salt ones are gross

    • I found the opposite, I liked the taste of Kettles.

    • No. You are absolutely mistaken. ;-p

The Kettle ones are the bomb.

  • Wow great deal. ๐Ÿ˜€

Just checked at Rundle Mall… cleaned out. The power of ozbargain.

  • All gone!

  • They could have just left out the additional crap and had original dairy milk.

The additions are what, lucky to be 5 - 10โ„… of the actual product, but they required them to discount so much.

  • Saw this at Coles Canberra Centre also… 10c is about right for this flavour, it was a terrible buy even at 50c.

    • I was happy to pay $5.00 a block for it when it launched. #RIPCadburyKettle

  • wow. maybe this will teach them to stop making crap tasting chocolate flavours
just to try and start some sort of craze for their limited edition trash.
    doubt it though.
