Why are there so many asterisks?
What's the scam fee of $6.95 for printing my own ticket?

    • Apologies - I have updated the post. Yes, it's the usual Ticketek fees including booking, credit card and handling charges that will be levied at purchase. Unfortunately this is unavoidable.

Do you like Phil Collins? I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where Phil Collins' presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums. Christy, take off your robe. Listen to the brilliant ensemble playing of Banks, Collins and Rutherford. You can practically hear every nuance of every instrument. Sabrina, remove your dress. In terms of lyrical craftsmanship, the sheer songwriting, this album hits a new peak of professionalism. Sabrina, why don't you, uh, dance a little. Take the lyrics to Land of Confusion. In this song, Phil Collins addresses the problems of abusive political authority. In Too Deep is the most moving pop song of the 1980s, about monogamy and commitment. The song is extremely uplifting. Their lyrics are as positive and affirmative as anything I've heard in rock. Christy, get down on your knees so Sabrina can see your (profanity). Phil Collins' solo career seems to be more commercial and therefore more satisfying, in a narrower way. Especially songs like In the Air Tonight and Against All Odds. Sabrina, don't just stare at it, eat it. But I also think Phil Collins works best within the confines of the group, than as a solo artist, and I stress the word artist. This is Sussudio, a great, great song, a personal favorite.

    • lol there is a sequel…

    • Appreciate the effort! American Psycho - A personal favourite. Phil Collins has had so many famous songs. Even on his greatest hits double cd there is still many big tracks missing. Then you have all the hits he had with Genesis. The man is a legend!

    • Huey Lewis was cool enough to do a parody of a scene from American Psycho.

I love Phil Collins but looking at videos of recent performances I don’t think he is the performer he once was. People might be disappointed. Having said that I hope Perth will have reduced prices like this and if so I would have to go.

    • He usually sits down whilst singing these days. But his fans know this will be the last time they’ll see him perform.

      • He always used to sit down (behind the drum kit) when singing! :P

Been a fan for 35 years+, I have a ticket, not sure if i will go as i don't want to taint the memory.

    • Seen enough to suggest like many others it's better to just remember what they were before.

Some great videos on YouTube showing artists then and now… Gives huge credibility to those who've maintained let alone improved too.

I seen George Michael in 2010, he was as good as when i first seen him 25 years before.

        • +1

Yep, he was one of the few who was just as great.

Black and European singers held up well often, fascinating videos.

Does he still come out in his walking frame?

    • +1

Yes he comes out with a cane, and he is seated for the whole concert.

I'm looking at the tickettek website and they have the same seats/pricing as lasttix (at least in Sydney).

In fact, lasttick just redirects you to ticketek website (with a ref code).

What's the benefit in buy from lasttix? Is lasttix just another front for tickettek?

    • lasttix must set a cookie or something. If you access tickettek website first, you can't get the cheaper pricing.

      • Nah - I see the same seats for 99.90 in Sydney via lasttix and tickettek.

        • yup Sydney was the same $99, but $69 Brisbane tickets didn't show up for me until I clicked through lasttix.

Conversely, there's $69 Melbourne tickets available directly from tickettek, but lasttix doesn't list VIC at all…
