Amazon Delivered My Package to a Service Station 15 Minutes from Where I Live on a Four Lane Road

I have a Amazon AU Prime account and I bought some stuff off Amazon about a week ago.

Ive done this many times before and they always came to my house.

But this time I got a random call from a service station saying I had a parcel to collect. This was no where near the closest collection point to my house.

I had to drive 15 minutes to get there and turning out of the service station was very difficult because it was a busy four lane road.

Wtf is Amazon doing?

Tracking said it would come to my house, I didnt miss it.

            Obviously it seems abnormal. Give em a ring, probably a strange delivery mishap.

    I ordered a package through Fastway and the driver decided to crash the truck like a jerk! So my parcel was delayed by three days!! These companies I tell ya!!! :|

      Consider yourself lucky as for Fastway delivery times that was a record!
      In my case they took 2 weeks to deliver a package where the sender was literally 1.5km from me in Melbourne CBD.
      Just check Google reviews for Fastway! 1.2 out of 5 2,251 total reviews

    If turning into a four lane highway is the basis of your complaint you shouldn't have a driver's licence. I'll admit, it can be difficult but nothing that a fully licensed drive shouldn't be able to do without a problem

      Yeah. Thats… exactly what I said - difficult. But no this is not the basis of my 'complaint', my complaint is they didnt deliver it to my house

      I think it's the distance implied by a 15 minute drive down a 4 lane highway, as opposed to through narrow residential streets.

      Courier driver probably didn’t want to cross the four lane highway either.

    What did the tracking say? Perhaps they took it to a pickup point as no one was home but didn't leave a card? Fastway is notorious for this.

    They delivered a $200 parcel to a pharmacy across the road. When I contacted amazon, they gave me a 50% discount for the trouble.

    I would much rather they delivered to a service station than the nearest post office. At least the service station opens much longer hours so I don't need to rush out of work to pick up a parcel.
