Review sites are always going to be biased though to one brand
Considering it’s mostly like a paid review it’s too hard to make a call based on one persons analysis of the product

Considering it’s mostly like a paid review

Really? Where did you get that from

hard to make a call based on one persons analysis of the product

Again any food with ingredients like
Chicken By-Product Meal, Corn Meal, Corn Grits, Poultry By-Product Meal is not the best for a cat.

The proof is in the ingredient list on which the review is based

      • Show your evidence it's a paid review.

Have a read of the site - it analyzes the ingredients first, then gives opinion second.

    • It's not an amazing food (iirc it's a supermarket brand in America) but it's one of the few cat foods that do a 15kg bag, so I don't mind recommending it for people who prefer to buy cat food in bulk.

    • The reason I don't like that website as it bases on first three listed ingredients in the label and assume that is the most ingredients inside the food but the fact is we all have no way to know(it didn't show the %)..I won't fully trust a website base on assumption but as a guide it does give decent information ..

Again use common sense there are some brands put some ingredients in the pet food that u don't even want inside ur plate..For those really up tight..Fresh cooked/raw chicken/fish/meat are always better than any dry food out there in my opinion ..And you can prepare that while u prepare your dinner

  • Thanks, snacks sorted for the next few months.

The site you listed tend to judge food at face value (eg, no scientific analysis, reviewing it purely from reading the ingredients list). It can be a good guide but I wouldn’t follow it blindly. For example the site I linked above shows it’s a rather poor food.

It’s important to also consider its carb/fat/protein ratio. Cats need protein and fat (from animals) and not carb.

To answer your question, I personally think Kirkland is still way better than iams. Price point I believ is on par

    • Depends on the cat. Kirkland gave one of our guys crystals. But iams didn’t.
Shrugs. 99% of the time our guys love it and survive.

This is for people who want to take their cat to the vet when they get problems from eating crap.

Seriously don't give your cat Fructooligosaccharides and corn.
Sure it might be better than starvation for people who are running a shelter, but otherwise it may ended up costing you more than a visit to the vet. It will also give your cat bad gut flora, which will then cause seriously bad odor.

We give our rescue kittens https://www.petbarn.com.au/wellness-complete-health-grain-fr…
Adults get home made organic chicken, rabbit, turkey; Cats In The Kitchen 1 IfByLand 2 IfBySea https://www.petbarn.com.au/cats-in-the-kitchen-1-ifbyland-2-…

It saves us in the long run, as we never have to see a vet unless some physical damaged has happened.
