Makita Cordless Reciprocating Saw 18V LXT DJR182 (Bare Tool, US Model) - $131.95 Delivered @ Plastering Supplies eBay

Bear with me as this is the first time posting a deal.

I was looking for reciprocating saws and came across this Makita one on ebay. This is the US model number DJR182, with US packaging, and looks identical to the Australian model DJR186Z which sells for around $200. It has a 1.25 inch/32mm "length of stroke" in comparison to other brands which have around 22mm.

I emailed the vendor and he says he is doing the warranty himself. So you will not get the normal Australian Makita warranty.

This does not come with a battery, I think this deal is until 31 Jan, I don't believe its associated with other ebay deals, and I am not associated with the vendor. I've purchased one but it has yet to arrive.

There are some other US models I can see in the ebay store like Makita Hammer Driver-Drill XPH10 $104.90; Makita Hammer Driver Drill PLUS CASE LXPH01 Makita Hammer Driver Drill PLUS CASE LXPH01 $134.00; etc. You will need to do your own "due diligence" on the equivalent Australian models & price.

the vendor..says he is doing the warranty himself.

    Hmmm

    • At least they're being honest about it. If i was in the market id consider buy this.

I have a Stanley recip saw and it's ended up being one of my most used tools. They're not precision instruments though!

  • PAPP10 would be cheaper right?

    • Yes, or the Ebay Plus 15% code

  • I'll bite at that price.

I previously bought a Makita cordless saw and 5" grinder off eBay (American models). Never have a drama with them.

  • I assume this is compatible with Aus batteries? What does an Aus battery set you back typically?
