Looking for a Desktop Computer That Is Able to Run 4x Dell P2419H Screens

Hey Everyone!

I'm trying to find a basic desktop computer that is able to run 4x Dell P2419H screens.

The screens have the following interfaces If that helps -

DisplayPort
VGA
HDMI
USB 3.0 upstream (Type B)
2 x USB 3.0 downstream (Type A)
2 x USB 2.0 downstream (Type A)

The set will be for trading so won't be running any massive programs on it or storing lots of data.

Thanks,
Chris

The pc specs will be based on what programs you are using. You will require a half decent graphics card to push those pixels and have the required ports.

A gtx1060 should do it. They generally have 3 display ports and 1 hdmi port.

Sorry I haven't specified a particular machine but almost any modern desktop with a low/mid graphics card will work.

    What is your budget?

Most mid-range cards usually have around 4 to 5 outputs. You can easily check just by hitting the card manufacturer website (e.g Gigabyte, ASUS) and browsing their video card section and looking at the specifications.

My ASUS STrix Radeon RX 570 has 1x HDMI, 1x DisplayPort and 2x DVI

The budget Radeon RX550 has only three (1x HDMI, 1x DisplayPort and 1x DVI), and if you're using a desktop with a processor that has integrated GPU, you can add an extra one or two outputs.

Most motherboards will have a HDMI or DVI output. My 2nd hand Acer Veriton does DisplayPort + DVI and that's a very old/basic setup from 2014.

  • Budget isn't really an issue but looking to keep it as cheap as possible. I won't be running any big programs. Any suggested retailers? Deals? Thanks for your responses.

lol @ trading, good luck with that.

  • How are those P2419H screens? I'm looking for some screens for trading setup too! What monitor arms did you go with?
