    Pretty poor reviews. Pass

Everything I have bought from Kogan has been a lemon. Never buying from them again.

    • Only kogan branded products. Resell of genuine imported products is good

    36mm negatives

    36? Does not inspire confidence.

I bought one of these second hand from a market stall for $10. I wasted my money, it's garbage.

I've also tried using my consumer grade printer/scanner and still wasn't impressed. I think the next step is to set up a camera on a tripod.

If you just want to scan old photos, use https://www.google.com/photos/scan/
It does a great job, although takes some time as each photo needs to be taken (automatically) from 4 angles.

  • Instead buy a second hand photo scanner - I bought a Canoscan 5600F which includes an attachment for negatives. Image sensors of far higher quality.

  • Could someone show me how poor the quality is on your scanned images? I was looking to get one of these recently.

  • Got one of these a while ago for slides. It does the job, but not great quality. Lots of photoshop magic to fix them up.
Main issue is build quality which is extremely poor. The controls are dreadful. Defaults to negatives and is quite a few keypresses to select something else.
Good for the amateur with sallow pockets.
