Storage prices falling everywhere, this is lowest I've ever seen for this capacity from a reputable brand.

Remember to use cashback services.

EDIT: My bad, did not realise Prime was local to AU. The AU deal is AUD$77.78, still slightly more than US shipping + GST.

Amazon Prime free shipping doesn’t apply to Amazon US, only products on Amazon AU which are sold from Amazon US.

You can get Samsung Evo+ for this price whenever there's a 20% off ebay promo. And it's faster.

    • Yep.

The Samsung Evo Plus is often the same price (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/430618)
It is a U3 card which it's guaranteed for 30MB per second sustained write but will hit ~70MB in benchmarks.

In comparison this Sandisk us C10 which means it's guaranteed for 10MB per second sustained and will hit ~21MB.

Both have read speeds that are similar.

But at the same price, you'd be silly to buy this over the Samsung Evo+

      • Not to mention local stock and you get it sooner. Although, Sandisk does have very good worldwide warranty, or at least did before WD bought them out.

I like that he implied the Samsung are not a 'reputable' brand.

          Not necessarily

Maybe he just hasn't seen the Samsung at this price before?

          • @mingofmongo: Yeah, Samsung's good stuff. I'm actually just bad at posting Amazon US deals, it started off at around AUD $59, then fees kept getting tacked on lol.

  • And a 240GB SSD can be had for less than $40. I wish microSD would catch up.

    • Unlikely. Highest capacity for (consumer grade) SSD = 4TB. Highest capacity for MicroSD = 512GB.

      • I mean to the pricing.

        • Pricing for storage is always proportional to the highest and lowest storage values on the market for that particular standard. If higher capacities are available, it pushes the price down across the range as a result.

  • I have one from NewEgg, only cost about $40 after the code at that time. Not as fast as Samsung EVO plus, but is Okay for my Switch.
