Free 2 Month Audible Membership (Includes Two Credits) + $15 USD Amazon US Gift Card (New Subscribers) @ Audible US

2650

Greetings everyone, this deal is back again, but it's now a $15 gift card rather than $10.

The terms and conditions state that you must be a U.S customer, however if you press "Go to Audible.com" you are able to complete the offer, I have just done it and am waiting on the credit to be sent to my account after verification. (This was the same as the last offer.)

This is great considering that Amazon US have lifted the shipping ban for items directly shipped by them!

Please note, it says you need to be a new Audible customer, so make a new account if you have used it before.

Terms:

Offer available while supplies last. Valid for U.S. Customers Only. Offer not available to existing audible customers. You will receive a 2-month Audible free trial that includes 2 credits as part of the standard Audible Monthly Gold Membership Plan. At the end of the free trial, your membership will continue until cancelled at the then current full price (currently $14.95 per month) with your designated credit card or another available card on file. Cancel anytime by visiting the Account Details page. After you successfully sign up for the Audible Trial, and your account is verified, you will receive an email notifying you that you have received a $15 Amazon promotional credit in your Amazon account. The Amazon credit will expire 90-days after it is deposited into your account. The Amazon promotional credit does not apply to digital content. The Amazon promotional credit only applies to products sold by Amazon.com (look for "sold by Amazon.com" on the product detail page.) Products sold by third-party sellers or other Amazon entities will not qualify for purchase by the Amazon credit, even if "fulfilled by Amazon.com" or "Prime Eligible". Shipping charges and taxes may apply to the full value of discounted items in your order. If any of the products related to this offer are returned, your refund will equal the amount you paid for the product, subject to applicable refund policies. Unless an Amazon Gift Card is the stated benefit of the promotion, promotional codes or credits (including those placed directly in accounts) may not be redeemed for Amazon Gift Cards. Offer is limited to one per customer and account, may not be combined with other offers, is non-transferable and may not be resold. Audible and Amazon reserve the right to modify or cancel the offer at any time. If you violate any of these terms, this offer will be invalid.

To Cancel Your Membership:

Go to My Account -> User Your Membership go to Cancel Membership and continue through the prompt. Only do this after you get the Amazon promo code!

As always, enjoy!

Seems to work for past customers who are not currently subscribed. I'm not sure if there's a time limit since last subscription on this but I was able to sign up and have already done 2 free trials in the past with Amazon US Audible. Thanks OP!

    • Yep, I just signed up too. I have an Audible account because of one of these deals in the past, so one needn't be a totally new customer.

  • thanks! Just waiting on my credit now too.

  • +2

Worked fine for me. I've had numerous free trials in the past as well as paid subscriptions.

    Thanks!

  • thank you, doweyy! waiting for the credit now! :)

  • Thanks Op

  • Is the gift card usable? Don't we get redirected to Amazon au if we try to buy physical goods on the US site?

    • +4

They lifted the ban on items shipped and sold by Amazon.com, so you can now order physical goods as long as they're directly from Amazon.com.

      • Thanks! I just signed up.

  • +1

I don't really do Cashback but what about this US$12.50 deal from Pennyful?

    http://www.pennyful.com/search?Key=Audible

  • +4

I've noticed that if I go through the US site (I have an existing Australian account), I appear to be getting one free credit, but it doesn't seem to be linking to my Australian account (showing as zero credits)?

    • +1

Yep, different regions count as different accounts.

  • +1

I also only got 1 free audio book credit in my account.

    • +1

I think you get 1 credit per month. And you get to keep the audiobooks bought with credits, so choose wisely ah ah
      I got this one 28hours!!!

  • thanks

  • +2

I believe bit is only one credit added per month, not 2 together.

  • My account details page shows:
    Gold Monthly
    You have 1 Credit
Your next bill date is: 02-14-19

    Meaning 1 month free only?

    • You will receive a 2-month Audible free trial that includes 2 credits as part of the standard Audible Monthly Gold Membership Plan

Sounds like you get the 2nd free credit in the 2nd month.

    • +3

Ahh yeah I just saw that, and I noticed similar comments in the SlickDeals thread. I just went and live chatted with Audible and this is what they said:

Sobed: I confirm that you have successfully enrolled in the 2 months free trial.
The date which is showing as the next bill date is the actually the date on which you will receive your next billing date.

Me: Okay thank you for that, so I won't get charged $14.95 on 2/14/19?

      Sobed: No, absolutely not.

So according to customer service, they don't charge anything on that date, only on the date in march.

      • Thanks, almost thought i miss out.

      • thanks for confirming this. I thought i was going to get billed so i setup a reminder to kill the subscription on the 14/02/19

  • +4

If you cancel with the reason "too expensive" they might offer you another credit to stay.

They did this for me. Took the credit, spent it, then immediately cancelled again.

    • I get the following options:
      -3 months at discounted $8/mo
      -1 extra free credit
      -cancel

Last time I think when I tried to go through with the cancel it gave me another option to put my subscription on hold for 3 months (no charge). Doesn't sound useful but at the time I had unused credits and I don't think you can keep credits without an active subscription.

  • Do we need to create an Amazon US account or add in a US delivery address?

    • +1

I have separate Audible US & AU accounts. I have to change the "marketplace" on the app when I sign in. If I download a book, I can see it regardless of what marketplace I'm signed in on, but I can only see the cloud for the selected one.

This deal is for the US marketplace.

      • Hey mate, were you seeing the book from the US store in the Australian app? I can't seem to see the book that i selected.

        • +1

It’s a bit of a pain to change things on the app, you actually have to go into settings and specify that you want amazon US and then log in with your US account so it doesn’t default to Aus. See how you go with that- if you’re stuck I’ll try and send some more detailed instructions. Hope that helps.

          • @djthornton: There is only one app, which can access multiple marketplaces. It is annoying, but it isn't hard. For free stuff, I'm willing to go through this tiny hurdle.

As I said, once one has downloaded an item then it will show in the app regardless of marketplace. To find cloud things, one must be be in the appropriate marketplace.

            • @Lan Mandragoran: Yeah I know, I didn't say it was hard, I said it was a pain, I just didn't want to say "you'll figure it out" without providing any explanation as to how to proceed. As far as I'm aware, even if books are downloaded they don't stay on the app when you switch accounts. I downloaded a book quite a while back on my AUS account and when I switch over to my US account and the book no longer shows up (this still happens). Unless this is a bug with the (IOS) app, or I'm misunderstanding what you're saying, you have to switch between the accounts to access books that are in separate accounts.

              • +1

@djthornton: Once you download audiobooks from different accounts you should be able to see them all by switching to the device tab instead of cloud

              • @djthornton: Huh. Maybe it is an iOS thing, because I can see my downloads on either.

I'm not trying to beef, just sharing another experience.

                • @Lan Mandragoran: Hey guys I figured out when you download the app. Just at the bottom before you sign in, you can change the region to US and it shows the books once you click that. Thanks for the help guys!

                • +1

@Lan Mandragoran: Yeah maybe, bit strange. I know you weren't starting beef, neither was I! Tones are so hard to convey online…

  • +1

Yeah, I've been a member a number of times and it worked for me too. Good times!

FYI, when you follow the deal link from an Australian IP it'll redirect to the Australian site - there's a link at the top of the page that'll take you back to the US site, which is where the deal is.

  • +3

How long does it take for the Amazon credit to come through?

    • I'd also like to know how long it took for everyone else to receive an email from amazon to confirm the credit was applied

    • +2

According to the sales representative I chatted with, the credit will take few days to appear in Amazon account.

      • I wonder if there will be an email notification.

Good to know a time estimate though.

        • +3

Yes they will do..See here what I've got from the rep.

          Thank you for contacting Audible!

At this time, qualifying customers will be provided a notification of eligibility for the Amazon $15 Gift Card as advertised within few days of enrollment while supplies last. Based on when you enrolled with us, you should receive a notification regarding your qualification for the Gift Card code within few days.

  • Thanks Op. If we sign up today, what date is best to cancel before they charge us?

    • +6

They won't charge you for 2 months. Best time to cancel is at the beginning of the second month, after you've used the 2nd monthly credit. If you cancel before you use your credits, then I believe you lose them.

      • +2

Thank you. So I will set a reminder for 32 days from today. Cheers.

      • +1

Yeah I think I'll play it safe with this one and wait until next month to cancel?

But free subscriptions can be a tricky dance and I've been burnt in the past forgetting to cancel in time!

        • Yes, with Audible you can talk to them and they often can refund the charged amount.
However OVO, Kogan and Amaysim won't refund. So if you forget you have to pay the full amount!

        • +1

Yeah, I have paid for a credit once for this reason. I think that is why they do this deal often. People forget and just get automatically billed.

  • Thanks OP! Wanted to try Audible anyway. $15 and two month is a nice incentive :)

  • When you go to your account it says:
Your next bill date is: 02-14-19
Shouldn't it be two months free?

    • +2

      See here :)

      • Thanks. Hope that is the case.

    • Read above.

  • Amazing! I’d been waiting on an Audible deal. Even just 2 months free is nice.
    Thanks doweyy!

  • I'm not seeing the offer on the page or when i click Go To Deal, am i retarded?

    • +1

After you click through, it'll come up with Audible AU, and it will say:

Based on your location you have been directed to audible.com.au
Do you want to go to audible.com?

Press go to audible.com and the offer will show up.

  • +1

So the amazon credit can be will be added into my amazon USA or Aus account? I’m not getting the catch here care to enlighten me?

    • +1

From the previous deal, I got a gift card code emailed to me about 1.5 weeks after I signed up. The code was for Amazon US only (can be added to any Amazon US account though). The catch is autocharging your card after 2 months if you don't cancel the account.

  • +1

Here is what I got from them in regards to the credit. Hopefully it will help you guys!

    Thank you for contacting Audible!

At this time, qualifying customers will be provided a notification of eligibility for the Amazon $15 Gift Card as advertised within few days of enrollment while supplies last. I guess we'll see…

    • +2

Yeah I only just noticed that recently, I'll have to ask the mods to take down the deal if that's the case, I guess we'll know in a few days.

  • Anyone got the $15 credit yet?

  • I guess no deal based on last few comments.

  • +1

    Thanks Doweyy
