Any better than this stuff ? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/435856

    • +2

      Yes.

      • What's the difference?

        • Difference is negligible imo but I prefer the Meguiars

        • Much more sudsy. Makes washing easier imo.

  • Does the job and smells really good

  • Is there an expiry date on this ?
I've purchased mine like 5 months ago and still more than 3/4 to go
Thinking if I should stock up….

check your bottle to see how long it lasts.

Expiry date on a car wash? WTF?

    • +1

It’s the rare Irish/Peruvian llama hair wax. Known to perish at low altitudes.

    • Detailing chemicals last many years as long as they are kept away from extreme heat and cold during storage. Seperation would be a sign of failure. I have a couple washes in my collection which must be close to 20 years with no issues.

To stock up or not is up to you but this particular wash has been cheaper several times before.

Meguiars products are the best…avoid AmorAll at all costs!

    • Why is that? I've never used Meguiar's I've used armour all wash and wax since it's what my old man always used.

      • +1

Armour all is cheap crap. This stuff if actually good value for money, albeit pricier.

        • I’ve used both and Armor All is pretty good.

          • @[Deactivated]: for short term but good luck when your car needs a respray because you used harmful chemicals on your paint that strip the protective layers on the top and make the paint fade, flake or peel.

            • @HKS: Where are you getting this information from? What are these chemicals in Armor All that destroy clear coats? You are suggesting it's better not to wash your car than use Armor All.

Yes it is a budget product but people have been throwing out incorrect information on Armor All based on their trim protectant which changed formulation over 10 years ago.

My main issue with budget products besides effectiveness is their weak dilutions. What appears to be cheap wash ends up being more expensive. Premium products like CarPro, Optimum, Dodo Juice end up being cheaper because they are more concentrated. 128:1 is common dilution for over the counter washes. While 400:1 and higher is available for more reputable brands. Dodo Juice Supernatural is 1500:1. That's 10x more concentrated.

What's the best method to get the best out of this product?

    • +1

Go on YouTube and search for two bucket wash method

    • +3

      take it down to Kittens

Directions are poor on the bottle. The dilution ratio is 128:1. So you need 77.5ml per 10L water.

      • Wow

      • 1:128 is one ounce per gallon which is only 0.78% concentration.

    Most expensive dishwashing liquid ever.

    • It's PH neutral.

      • Yeh… Mild on your hands while you do the dishes.

It is actually sits slightly on the acidic side. I'm unsure why. I can see the need for alkaline washes but not acidic ones.
