  Prefer points as I can transfer to Velocity. With 40k Flybuys points when there is 15% bonus you'll get roughly 20k velocity points and that can get you a free ticket to Bali (need 22,300 points).

For singles, 20k FB equates to 8,700 Velocity or about 11k Velocity if there's a 30% bonus. If you value VFF at 1cpp that's $110, or $136 if you value VFF at 1.2cpp. Obviously value is higher (5-8cpp) if you are saving up points for premium flights.

If you're cycling health insurance joining offers then NIB is currently offering $200 off your premium if you have hospital and extras. Also you need to have this AHM policy for 6 months (up to August 2019) whereas the current NIB offer only required you to be a member up to May, which is the perfect time to take advantage of another joining offer that will inevitably come up in June.

Not comparing the quality of health cover policies or the price of the premiums, only commenting on the joining offers.

    Yeah true, my bad. It's only been a 15% bonus before. But you've helped illustrate my point that this AHM joining offer is less value than the NIB offer. Or even the HIF offer that someone else posted.

      Little late to the party on an expired post aren't you?
      
      I'll explain it anyway.
      
      Because a $100 coles voucher was equal to 20k flybuys, You then got anywhere from 20k-70k points on top of that depending on your coverage that you choose.
      This was compared to a fixed 20k for singles (20k less), and 40k (equal or higher value depending on plan) for couples.
      
      Thus most users would of gotten more value with medibank at that time - its not rocket science.
      
      Its irrelevant now anyway because as is clearly marked this deal has expired, and has been replaced with a much better one
      35k points for singles, and 70k points for couples.
