Philips OneBlade Pro Hybrid Styler $79 @ JB Hi-Fi

230

Was set to buy the basic model for $69.95 from The Shaver Shop, but my local was closed for renovation! So popped into JB to find the Pro model (middle model) for $79 as a catalogue special! (Normally $105.00).

Not the cheapest its been, but still a good deal.

I love this razor. Doesn't shave as close as a regular razor but it shaves close enough for me and is super easy to use. My blade lasted 4 months before I needed to change it.

I got only two months from a blade before had to change…the wear strip bring quite visible long before the two months were up…

I have the regular model. I find I don’t get any irritation when using shaving cream with it, but it still irritates my skin if shaving dry. YMMV.

Can confirm. This thing is great. I've had mine for a couple of months now and I haven't had to charge it since I got it.

I got both of them and like the regular model only it’s more handy

For those that don't know the blade requires replacement after enough use (2 - 6 months roughly) which is anywhere from $20-25 each. Maybe worth jumping on these now for people with one https://www.bigw.com.au/product/philips-oneblade-replacement…

    • That's the price I paid on Amazon a while back for the two pack.

      • The Big W link is a 2 pack?

        • Yes. Two blades in the pack

$79.95 standard price on Amazon and has cash rewards.

I have the standard model and use it to dry shave. Never going back to a blade. I get zero irritation and it's close to a razor blade length. I shave two to three times a week and I'm still going strong on my original blade. Because of the blade design, it's very simple to trim the blades and schnoz. Whipper snipped around the power pole and it was easier, faster and safer than anything else I've used.

      Classic.

Any brush cutting longer grass up the gully?

I feel like the major dislike for me is the hairs from each shave ending up all over my white bathroom bench, the somewhat pricey blades I can just get on sale.

    • Yes, that’s true! Whiskers end up blown up all over the sick and bench, even stuck to the mirror, after I do a dry shave.

    • Yep it's an outside or shower shave.

I clear the vanity top before shaving, shave, then use my old shaving brush to guide the hairs into the sink. Sometimes I just use my Dyson hand held. Either way, there is way less mess than stuffing around with hot water and shaving foam.
