  • Fabolous. :)

Just in time since I used the last scoop of my laundry powder an hour ago.

I had a $10 credit applied to my account because last time they shipped me something which was Prime eligible for expedited shipping via standard parcel post from their NSW warehouse, rather than express post. Right throughout the whole transaction they said I'd have it within 3 business days, but it took 6 business days to get to Perth (standard for road/rail).

10 boxes cost me $30. Happy days!

  • Hows this compared to Aldi?

    • +2

Aldi has physical stores and does not deliver. They also charge a credit card fee but you can pay with cash and avoid the fee.

Amazon is online only so they deliver but you can't collect from them. They do not accept cash and do not charge a credit card fee.

  • fab deal lads

  • man, delivery fee kills it (the deal) … unless you're Prime of course.

    • Delivery is free if you buy 13 boxes.

      • hahahaha life time stock

      • +1

Max is 10 per order. You'd have to buy something else along with the Fab to get free shipping if you don't have Prime.

  • Hmn few cents cheaper tham aldi but also having a year supply delivered kept in the shed is handy

  • is this laundry powder very heavily scented, a sweet scent?

  • I will never this product because of my experience. Bought heaps from Amazon when they were on sale. They always turn into big lump so the end result was messy clothes and blocked pump.

Avoid purchasing it. I still have 13 boxes sitting in my garage.

I haven't had a problem with it in my Samsung 8.5kg front loader. I use just over half a scoop per full load and the clothes come out smelling nice and are clean. A bad experience from one person won't stop me buying it when I've had a positive one.

Laundry powder turning into a big lump sounds like you were using too much. Front loaders need about half the amount of powder/liquid compared to top loaders.

      • I could probably say the same. A good experience from one person won't make this product good. Having said, if you are satisified, I am happy for you :)

      • It sounds like it's the way you are using the powder rather than the powder itself.

    • I don't think it's wise to base a choice on choice, don't companies pay for positive press on that website?

      • No. Choice is independent.
        https://www.choice.com.au/about-us/the-choice-story

Set up by consumers, for consumers. CHOICE is the consumer advocate that gives Australians information and advice, free from commercial bias.

We don't accept advertising or sponsorship…

        • Has there been any third party investigating those claims though?

I'm not trying to say they're something that they're not but I don't really trust a website that tells you what it wants you to believe.

          • @Kozhutki: Come on mate. You basically tossed shade at them in your first comment, I point out it's independent, and you double down on trying to question the site's integrity. CHOICE has been around since 1959 - 60 years. They've always been a staunch consumer advocate. Their income comes from subscribers (ie, consumers) paying for access to their reviews.

I'm a member, not because I necessarily get a massive amount from their reviews, but because I believe in their independence, and a strong consumer advocate.

Instead of playing the "I'm such a critic and don't believe anyone" card, why not look at what they've contributed to and achieved:
            https://www.choice.com.au/about-us/the-choice-story/history

If they weren't living up to their independence claims, a disgruntled employee, a supplier, would have outed them a long time ago.

I'm not trying to say they're something that they're not but I don't really trust a website that tells you what it wants you to believe.

What it wants you to believe? I don't even know what you're trying to get at here. That Choice has a vested interest in Coles? If they accepted money, don't you think that companies, with more expensive products and bigger marketing budgets for their individual products, would have paid them to elevate their own product.

People who lack critical thinking and immediately push to the conspiracy spectrum at every opportunity are tiresome. If you have evidence that Choice is a Shonky organisation, go ahead and post it, otherwise, seriously stop throwing shade, do some research, and learn some humility.

@aleayr: What's with the wall of text? Why would I blindly believe what a website posts about itself? That's incredibly naive.

I only asked if there were third party investigations, I wasn't trying to take a shit on you or the website, relax.

Do you also believe BBB in America because they say they do good when it's the contrary?

              • @Kozhutki: That's not a wall of text. It's a few paragraphs.

Why would I blindly believe what a website posts about itself? That's incredibly naive.

No one is asking you to blindly believe. But it reasonable to expect people to research and draw their own conclusions, and not just perpetuate stereotypes. This is how "fake news" (for lack of a better phrase) spreads. Lack of ability to research (or simply laziness), lack of ability to reason, to form conclusions - it's a big issue - and one of the reasons I get a bit antsy when people haven't even put any basic effort in to validating their thoughts or claims.

I don't just take Choice's word that they're independent, I look at their actions - over many, many years. I search for information, and potential issues about products I buy, companies I buy from, websites I trust. I'm definitely the opposite of naive. Choice's testing methodology sometimes causes me to scratch my head for some products, but their integrity is solid.

If you had suspicions that Choice accepted money for reviews, a good way to start that conversation would have been to Google looking for evidence of those suspicions. If you came across anything, like I did for BBB below, then by all means, post something, link to the source, and ask people for clarification on their experiences and knowledge.

Do you also believe BBB in America because they say they do good when it's the contrary?

No, because I research and form my own conclusions. I just Googled "BBB America controversy" and it came up with a Wikipedia article, and read the "Criticism" section, and there are linked sources for more info that I skimmed over as well. Now I'm more informed about who they are, and the potential things to look out for if I was to ever be on their site.

                • @aleayr: How do I have a lack of ability to research when I asked you twice if there was a third party investigation? You couldn't answer it and just kept copy pasting some irrelevance from their website.

It's weird how I never claimed they were fraudulent (questions aren't accusations, chief) and now you pull you "fake newz XD" on me as if I'm trying to start some media frenzy over some bullshit.

I asked a question, you write 50 paragraphs not answering the question.

                  Thanks for nothing
