Red Rooster Suspends Loyalty Accounts Due to Inactivity

After not using my Red Rooster loyalty account for a while, they decided to suspend me after years of SMSs regarding mediocre deals:

"Hi Loser,

It's been over a year since you've made a transaction on your loyalty account. Unfortunately, your account has been suspended from active status.

Any loyalty dollars you had accrued on your account have been cancelled.

If you would like to stay an active Red Royalty member, please click the link below to submit a help request with the Loyalty Support Team."

I don't get why they would end our relationship like this. Sure, I haven't exactly been loyal. When I eat chicken it's usually at supermarket closing time.

They played hard-to-get at first, setting minimum spends not outlined in the terms and conditions, treating me like a criminal when I tried to redeem my free birthday feeds (which they later took away), but I maintained my subscription to the sweet nothings I received via text.

I don't think many people outside OzBargain use loyalty apps since even employees who have worked above the average of 6 weeks often have no idea how they work.

Carry on.

    Hi Loser

I love how they know you so well. Must have managed to collect at least some customer data from you during that time.

    Jks btw.

  • Red Rooster is clucked.

  • Seems a bit odd to me, usually you'd want to keep the loyalty cards because you're basically getting peoples data for free (or cost of a card).

Kind of feels foreboding like, you'd probably only do this if you're really trying to cut costs on IT which makes me wonder how Red Rooster is actually doing, and their longevity going forwards.

      • It doesn't even make sense with your correction.

        • Replying to pantsparty, not swapsey.

  • You might need it on February 1st.

  • I'm surprised that Red Rooster is still in business after all these years.

They have, by far, the best nuggets and chips. But the nuggets are too expensive and chips can't keep a business afloat on their own!

Try Kingsleys next time you're in Canberra, you'll never want any other fast food chicken or chips

End your relationship after a year not using. Great relationship you cherished so dearly.

    It's going to be ok. You can always send them an "enquires" via their website;

    "CUSTOMER FEEDBACK/ENQUIRES
To send feedback to the Red Rooster Restaurant Support Centre or Red Rooster Restaurants and receive a reply

    SEND FEEDBACK/ENQUIRES"
    https://www.redrooster.com.au/contact/"

I let them know about this grammatical error back in November and got a response that they had sent it to their IT team. It take a long time to change a word, at the home of the dirty bird.

  • why are you so cut, you haven't been in a year. p.s. red rooster just microwave Coles rolls or something of that nature so why go anyway.

  • bad red rooter bad

  • That's how mafia works.

  • Can't really see a problem.

Use it or lose it OP. You had over one year to visit their "restaurant" but you didn't so obviously you have no loyalty to them, why would you expect them to show any loyalty to you?

Love their chips but I've seen bigger magpies than the chickens they sell.

  • I had oporto close my loyalty account with them because i hadn't been using it.

  • Who eats Red Rooster anyway?

  • The birthday offer used to be a free meal, now it is only 10% off. Don't really see the point of keeping it.
