The link I shared is not the actual link to the deal - but I could not find an actual link. This was sent to me by email. Apologies it was not posted yesterday - only saw it today, but it was valid from yesterday!

Earn 40% LVN Cashback (capped at $15 per transaction) on transactions at Ho Jiak until tomorrow (11 Feb 2019). Valid at either the Strathfield or Haymarket branch.

Opening hours below as per Google. I have bolded the relevant days.

Ho Jiak Strathfield Opening Hours

• Sunday 10am–9pm
• Monday 10am–9pm
• Tuesday 10am–9pm
• Wednesday 10am–9pm
• Thursday 10am–9:30pm
• Friday 10am–9:30pm
• Saturday 10am–9:30pm

Ho Jiak Haymarket Opening Hours

• Sunday 11am–10pm
• Monday 11am–12am
• Tuesday 11am–12am
• Wednesday 11am–12am
• Thursday 11am–12am
• Friday 11am–12am
• Saturday 11am–12am

If you dine at Haymarket tomorrow close to midnight, I would suggest you ensure your payment(s) go through before midnight, because if it goes through at 12:01 (for example), you might end up only earning LVN at the standard rate instead of 40%. This assumes this promotion is all configured correctly and goes by standard date/timing conventions!

  I think their food is overpriced.Also capped at $15 is not a good deal only if you dine by yourself.

    I largely agree, but with 40% cashback I would absolutely do it, because I think their food is actually quite nice - just a bit pricey.

  Have they just recently started partnering with Liven?
  Went there couple weeks back and did not see the Liven sticker anywhere in the Strathfield store

    Just checked my emails because I recall getting an email about it when they were first onboarded.

    25 July 2018 - "NEW TO LIVEN - Ho Jiak" - and yes, it included both Strathfield and Haymarket locations with 15% cashback.

  IIRC - the standard rate here is 5%. $15 cap at 40% is decent but only for one person.

    If the rate hasn't changed from when they were onboarded, then the standard rate is 15%.

    $15 cap is on the cashback you earn - not the transaction value, so I'd say you could probably use it on 2 people.

      Just checked my last transaction there - it was 5%

        Yea true.

        I think I'm an odd one. I do not consider a drink an essential part of a meal, so I instinctively do not factor the price of drinks in because water is free.
