  • Looks good one year, rubbish the next. Pricey cubby for the kids, NOT a shed.

Our many thousands of happy customers would disagree. Do you own a cedar shed? We would love to hear more info about your comment.
These will last for many years and will continue to look great, oil or varnish is a good idea to keep cedar from fading.

        Lol at thousands.

        • Yes, absolutely in the thousands.

      • Built 5 houses all with Cedar windows (yes, you would think I would learn but I am a slow learner) 1 on the beachfront which had very large floor to ceiling cedar windows and all require lots of maintenance. All carefully prepped and finished with 3 coats of base, build and final coat of Sikkens. Cedar looks great and current house has Cedar windows but now for me next build its aluminum all the way.

Ahh so you have had personal issues with your maintenance of cedar and its coatings. The easiest option is to oil it, but like any timber, maintenance is required every few years. Even if you leave it uncoated though, it will last a VERY long time, it will fade to a greyish colour which some people like, not my preference though.

Not sure how your coating experience makes these sheds "Not a shed" though…

Cedar is a pretty strong wood…is your comment from experience? or is this one of those failed attempts at being one of 'those guys'.

You'd find a lot of outdoor furniture are made from Cedar wood because it's durable and it's a natural insect repellent & great for highly humid environments…

anyway shed looks cool, not for me.

      • anyway shed looks cool

I doubt it during the current summer.

        • haha well played.

Looks like your site might be down OP.

Hi no the site is working, you might have some local issues, there are approx 30 people browsing the site right now, about 20 have come from this page.
      Perhaps try refreshing the page?

      • Hmm odd. Must be on my end but definitely not working for me. Oh well. Ignore my previous post.

  • I'm looking at your Cedar Studio's because I'm considering building a tiny house. All the smaller tiny house sized one's are pictured with verandah and deck, however, both ARE NOT INCLUDED in the advertised price and are significant extra cost compared to the studio. If that's not against consumer law or something, it's really poor form. Unsubscribed.

    • Hi, yes we have many options for all our sheds and studios, all are listed as so. People like to see photos of what is possible, sorry you were disappointed that these werent standard.

      • I'll second his disappointment regarding the photos. Others like to see what they get :) great project though if one did as the pics showed

Any difference between this and a display home? Like display home has all the premium finishings, raised ceilings, best lighting etc. that aren't included in the normal house.

    • Bella is that you? Bella is my 4 year old aka captain sook

  • OP do you guys do installations? I'm looking for something that's 7.4m X 5.3m.

    • Hi, we have the 2 sizes below on our studios page:

      CEDAR STUDIO ‘GRANDE PRAIRIE’ 7.2mx4.3m
      COONAWARRA CABIN 7.2mx4.9m

    • Sorry, forgot to say, yes we also do installs, please email us with the shed or cabin you are after and we can arrange a quote.

  • Coincidently, I got one installed today. Rep, what's the best strain to use and how to do it? Would like it to look good for as long as possible.

    • Careful with those strain injuries!

    • A decking oil is nice and easy, but the best stain is Dulux Intergrain, I like the gloss Ultraclear. Its not the cheapest though, but it is about the best I know of. Basically you just want to protect from UV fading the colour of the timber. Cedar on its own will still last a very long time.
