Fastway Carrier Not Bothered to Deliver Phone to Me

So, I bought a phone last week and it was picked up by this carrier on Monday afternoon, it is 3 days later and I still haven’t received the package even though they have picked up the package put it in the van and not bothered to deliver it to me. Been waiting for 2 days now since the “expected delivery date” even though on the website it clearly state 1 day Sydney to Sydney delivery.

Not sure if this is just for me, since the companies that I ordered my stuff from only use Aust Post. “Thank fully” and arrives within the next morning or the morning after (rarely), but please share your experience.

  • I had a really bad experience using fastaways for a high value item I sold on ebay. It got put on the wrong truck and was sent to another state. Their customer service centre was really poor and provided different explanations every time. In the end I contacted the CEO who got the issue resolved very quickly.

    I have also had good experiences, whenever I get a fast aways amazon order they call me prior to delivering.

      • With some franchises recently being taken over by corporate for fraudulent activity ;)

    what did Fastway carriers say when you called them?

    • Good point, why not just call them right? Wrong, i called them yesterday, in the morning today (the parcel is in the van and will arrive today) and at 6pm today (ah the drivers stop delivering on 5pm, I can mark it as “urgent delivery” for tomorrow.

      Also on the review website the fastway was issued with 0.4/5 stars bloody ridiculous, might hope the package will arrive on 1st of march at this rate

      • What did they say though? That it had been held up? That it was lost? You aren't making sense…

        Fastway are shit and are known for being shit.

        Call them tomorrow morning and find out where it is. If the person on the phone isn't helpful ask for their manager or supervisor.

        • They say it “should” be delivered tomorrow morning, like they say it should be delivered today and yesterday as well

  • It's standard practice with my local Fastway driver. Parcel gets to the Sydney depot next day loads it in his van and it sits there anywhere from 3-7 days before it gets delivered.

  • Yep, Fastway are anything but fast in my experience. Sydney metro to Sydney metro always takes several days, I've had one that took 8 days. I'd never use them if I had the choice.

  • My poor experience. 10 days to deliver to another suburb in Melbourne. My eBay parcel was collected promptly so hard to blame the seller. Contacted Fastway after 7 days and it still took another 3 days to arrive. How does one avoid them?

  • Same happened to me with an ebay item for less than 10km delivery, at last they told me that the item was lost and ask seller for a refund which I obtained later.

    • What seriously they lost your parcel. Shouldn’t fastway compensate for the loss as it states on their website, quite ridiculous in my opinion btw of a carrier. Is like this company needs to be under review by the accc.

      • IIRC the seller is the one that needs to contact the couriers regarding compensation. The buyer needs to receive the refund from the seller.
