  TP-Link Archer are very good routers, it's only the low end TP-Link stuff you should avoid.

I did not actually know this, but since i currently use Optus NBN FTTN via a DSL cable, the DIR-878 is actually incompatible by itself since it only has an internet port.

The only way I can use it now is by cascading (bridging?) it with the Optus modem.
Guess I should really research before I buy!
