these things any good - they look massive

  • Saw these for over $40 in Europe. This is a great price.

Biggest problem with these are - they are too big to fit in most power outlets or their weight unsockets them (especially the US/JP ones which don't hold much weight).

    • Yeps, I purposely buy chargers or adapters that are small and stick as close to the wall. Hotel GPOs are more than likely loose. If the family is travelling I normally pack a powerboard and this adapter (https://www.bunnings.com.au/jackson-bali-europe-travel-adapt…) if travelling to Indonesia or Europe. The others generally are stable because of the earth pin help with keeping in the socket.

I have the same type of travel adapter and they are no good. They keep coming out of the power socket due to the weight when you attach another adapter to it.

  • I prefer to buy the type-c adapter.
oh, they have a different model.

  • Please ignore

  • They are too big and can have issues fitting in AU ports due to the au switches on the outlets.

I had got something similar from Singapore Airlines as a token of inconvenience for flight delay, that one was really good.

  • How’s the quality? I’ve bought similarly priced all in one converters before but it worries me when I can hear a buzzing sound when charging devices using the USB ports.

Having four USB ports with total current of 3.4A is useless.

  • Ordered the 3 port + USB C model, and the quality seems pretty good. Build quality is better than expected, and so is the packaging. It even has a (very cheap) pouch too.
