  Hi, do the side arms automatically close when you pull the bottom arms?

  OR do you have to first push open the side arms, then slide your phone in?

    Arms open with a light sensor and close automatically. A small touch button bottom left to release or just pull the phone out. Got one during the last deal, it's pretty good however you need a small cig lighter power brick, I got one from target or bigw can't remember, $8

  Have you been able to improve the start, stop charging?

  Mine is on a vent and it charges for maybe 30seconds before pausing due to heat, even when using a normal (not fast) charge.

    Yeah same problem. Even with the ac on. The damn thing would get condensation droplets from air conditioner but would still overheat n stop charging. Gave up. Normal charge as well as no fast charge for the iPhone. Was a little surprised.

  So the cigarette lighter socket/car needs to be on to get your phone out? i.e. you need to remove your phone before turning off the engine.

  The suction cup always loses its suction during hot days. Quite annoying with these. My experience with start/stop charging was due to the the phone's back losing contact to charger especially when there's lots of vibration. When I get annoyed, i dc the usb-c from charger and connect direct onto phone, to prove that it wasn't overheating issue. I use a proper quickcharge 3 car charger, phone shows it's quick charging whether on wireless or wired.
